Young might not have the Gale Sayers-like moves of Reggie Bush, but he’s every bit the home run hitter. Remember, not only are we talking about a player who’s the nation’s best passer this year, we’re talking about a guy who has 850 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. While the Heisman isn’t a career award, it’s interesting to note that Bush has 3,087 rushing yards and 24 touchdown runs in 38 games, while Young, and remember, he’s a quarterback, has rushed for 2,927 yards and 34 touchdowns in 36 games.

You're such a stat [edit, didn't realize the w-h word was so bad, so I'll go with "stat monger"]...:D :p

I really can't see Young winning the heisman this year though...but I wouldn't mind it if he did...he might be convinced to go off to the pros if he did.

That is not true. I read somewhere that Reggie Bush has 90234543789.234327987 this year. Atleast that is what ESPN told me

id like to see young win it, hes been awesome. but bush's numbers are too good. the only way i see young winning is if leinart gets enough votes, which i dont think he will.

kidding aside, the reason that Young will not get the heisman this year is because his defense is just too good and does not allow him to play the games all the way through. The defense did not allow Young to play into the fourth quarter against a clearly undermatched WAC opponent, like Bush's defense did for him.

I think you guys are missing the point. This has nothing to do with the Heisman or who has had the better year. The point is that all the tools on ESPN have been telling us that Reggie is the best runner in God knows how long. Some have said that he is the best runner in the histroy of college football. The point is that with all that said, Vince, over the course of their careers, is a BETTER runner than Bush and Vince is a freakin' QB.

Well, I guess it appears that I am a "hype believer" but I am trying to think logically. I honestly think that the A&M game really ruined Vince's hopes for the Heisman. Vince's stats may be better in that one respect, but I think the voters will be too swayed by the 502 yard performance. Vince has had comparable games, but I really think Bush will win it. I don't know who I want to win it because Vince is a great athlete, but I think bush will win it.
