Lache Seastrunk from Temple (TX) Temple and Trovon Reed from Thibodaux (LA) Thibodaux will be two of their respective state's best prospects in 2010...They are cousins...

Was reading a article "A Package Deal" on nola.com this morning...

Even though the class of 2009 is still up for grabs, that does not mean it is too early to begin taking a look at the class of 2010.

The thought of high school teammates or family members wanting to play together at the collegiate level was a common topic for the class of 2009 as Craig Loston elected to follow his cousin Russell Shepard to LSU and Seminole High School teammates Ray Ray Armstrong and Dyron Dye agreed to team up for the next four years at Miami.

It appears the same idea is on the minds of two of LSU's class of 2010 prospects. Thibodaux High School product Trovon Reed and his cousin Lache Seastrunk (Temple H.S, TX.) have openly stated playing together in college is a good possibility.

"Yeah, that is something we'd like to do," Reed commented on playing with his cousin in college. "I think it would be great! Teams wouldn't know how to cover us because we'd have Lache coming out of the backfield and then I'd be at wide-out. We're going to try to do it."

When Seastrunk was asked to comment on Reed's claim, Seastrunk responded, "That's my brother! If we were on the same team in college, defenses would have to play honest against us. It would be great to play with him."

As of now Seastrunk holds a few more official offers than Reed, but it is more than likely the pair of four-star athletes will each get to hand pick the university of their choosing when it is all said and done.

If they stick to their plan, one lucky college team will undoubtedly be receiving a lethal one-two punch.

From all the rumor buzz Ive been reading it seems like Texas is one of those on the outside looking in. LSU most likely has the lead with both these young fellas, although I think theyd both look great in burnt orange.:D

Looks like Oregon is the only school in common so far-they might be Ducks...

Seriously, will be fun watching this one play out over the course of the year...

Lache is fairly high on UT's radar, though they are the only team not to make an offer..They prolly wont take more than 2 RB's in that class..I personally see them offering to him soon...though we will see. He has like 8 0r 9 offers already..though I get the feeling this will come down to UT or LSU..and if the 2 cousins are wanting to play together, it may be at LSU because I dont believe to this point that UT has expressed any interest in Reed..as it seems more likely they will go with the 2 Darius's...White and Terrell..

At the end of the day, I really dont see those 2 getting to play at the same school, regardless if they want to..Lache is much higher on teams list than is Reed and thus his choices wont be limited to just a few teams.

At the end of the day Reed will have about 20 offers and when everyone find out he's Lache's cousin you can add 10 more to that list...

Louisiana always lagging behind...(lol)

The kid is on the Rivals 250 to watch for in 2010.....which means he's a dang good football player. As word filters that he and Seastrunk could be a package deal, there will be plenty of school that will find room for both of them, if just to sway Seastrunk.

Well, truth be known I don't really have a clue...I do know one thing...

Trovon Reed already has a Georgia offer and that's rare for a Louisiana kid...Georgia doesn't really recruit over here all that much....I know Georgia offered Rueben Randle this year, but I believe that's the only Georgia offer extended to a LA kid....Georgia is blessed with much talent themselves, plus what they get in Florida...

So Reed will attract some major attention...At least the way I see it...

It's long been rumored that those two could be a package deal which is why it has long been thought that Texas would have an uphill fight to land Seastrunk. With the in state WR talent this year, Texas may not offer Reed. It all boils down to how many WRs Texas plans on taking this year. Darius Terrell and Darius White are believed to be Texas top 2 WR targets and from what I understand, Terrell is likely to commit on the spot when/if offered. Demarco Cobbs from Tulsa is listed as an "athlete" but projects to WR and is probably the next highest target. That said, Seastrunk and Reed are scheduled to be in Austin together for one of the Jr. days. I can guarantee you that Seastrunk will get an offer and it will probably be an offer open until signing day. If Reed picks up an offer as well, you have to think that will improve Texas' chances with Seastrunk, but I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah, I doubt Reed picks up a Texas offer....I'd be surprised....Texas didn't offer Rueben Randle this year-one of the few that didn't...Texas tight!...
