do any of you put any stock or faith into these different personality tests out there. I took one for work that thinks it knows me. Some of the key words the report spit out were:

That I am indpendent and individualistic in my thinking
That I am confident
I am willing to take a risk
I am innovative
I am a nonconformist

and get this - that I am strong and opinionated and that I express my opinions confidently and with certainty and that I am stubborn.

That doesn't sound like me at all:rolleyes:.

Just wondering if anyone else has taken one and felt like they were reading their life story afterwards!!

nope those tie in psychological development, which nothing is wrong with psychology, but every decade a new theory cancels old one out.

I just went and took one of those tests. interesting. Ima wait a couple of days and take the same test again. Then wait a few months and do it again. See if anything changes. Because I feel like I change often.

Yea, I'm not real sure I trust them..What I think you should do is do the teast and then wait a few minutes and do it again...my guess is it gives you something completely different every time. Check it out and see, it'll be cool to know if thats what happens.

That would require me to write down my answers and log the questions. To see if any of that changes.
I think the tests pretty much stay the same. It's us that tends to change. in some areas. I think an introvert is almost always going to be that way. But some stuff can and does change. If we were always the same, we'd get sick of ourselves after a while.

Like me. And all of my issues. I've not always been this way. And I wont always be how I am now (God willing). Because I'm getting sick of myself lately.
It's growing. If we arent growing then we're either dying or becoming stagnant. Screw that.
But I do plan to take the same test at the same site after some time periods and see what happens. The interesting thing for me is that I also keep a pretty detailed journal everyday. It's weird to go back and read some of the stuff that I'd written. Because most of it is not emotional/mood writing. It's more "this is what I think and why". I like to see how that changes. And if it's changing for better or for worse.
Partially I do it because I'm curious about myself. And I think partially I do it in an effort to drive myself full on crazy. Because I've always wanted to know if people that are seriously crazy realize that they're that way and cant help it or if they just dont know.

As cute as thousands of dollars of surgery will do for a person. I think she looked better before all the tightening and cutting of the nose and such. Don't these people (like her, Kenny Rogers, Joan Rivers, etc) know that we can tell!!
