Southlake Carroll (14-0)

Key to success- The Dragons have to play their game. McElroy needs no introductions we all know what he is capable of. SLC will need to set the tone and score quick to take the Lufkin crowd out of it. The faster the Dragons get going the slower the other teams play. SLC is coming off a dramatic come from behind victory against what was an undefeated Plano team. SLC may run some screens and draws to keep Lufkin's speedy defense honest. Play smart football and McElroy can not force passes this week. The Dragon defense may be in for there biggest test of the season. They need to play heads up ball and contain Lufkin's speed at the skill positions.

SLC's Impact players

Offense
QB Greg McElroy
WR McKay Jacobsen
RB Tre' Newton

Defense
DL Michael Boydston
LB Patrick Benoist
DB Joseph Agnew

Lufkin (14-0)

Key to success- The Panthers are also coming off a pretty impressive win against an undefeated Copperas Cove team. Lufkin will need to get the crowd into it early by setting the tone with big hits and big plays. Lufkin's defense will have to rise up and play lights out football and confuse McElroy with all kinds of different looks. The Panthers offensive may come out the gates slow but look for dez Bryant to continue his spectacular performance against SLC from were he left off from last year. Lufkin will need to score on its first posession to send the Dragon defense an early message. Lufkin will have to play extra smart and commit no turnovers or SLC will get out and run with this one.

Lufkin's impact players

Offense
WR Dez Bryant
RB Jacory Turner
WR Ralph Thomas

Defense
DB Leonard Hewitt
LB Mandela Roberts
DE A.J. Penson

During the season Lufkin was the Air show, but in the playoffs both RB's have stolen the show. Turner and Kibble both reached the 100 yard mark last week and have had a 100 yard rusher in every playoff game. We will come out in Shoutgun with 4 WR's just like last season but based around more speed. you will be impressed with #12 Turner I like to call him the little vacume.

Lufkin has their "newfound" running game. Turned into balanced team this late in the playoffs with the famous, "pick your poison" approach.

Load the box for the run, they throw it downfield over you.
Play back for the over the top, they keep running it down your throat.
Every team left has this approach.

And they won't hesitate, that little running back for Lufkin is one of the fastest and quickest things I have seen on the field!!!
