well the best team we have played i am going with CC they were loaded and about the same as the Panthers.

best RB. well the kid from the Woodlands that transfered in from lousiana that kid was a beast not sure of his name sure other fans can help me out.

best QB- Passer going with the CC QB best pure athletic QB that could change the game was the kid Donnie shorts from HH he was fast and good.

That is just my opinion.

Cove was a great opponent Homer -- sorry that rainy weather forecast didn't come through - but you got the wind part right ;) Buckram and Garner had no quit in them - both had exceptional second halves. Your D was very physical, but seemed to wear down in both halves. but, you definitely had our D on our heels in the 3rd qtr. I would rate Garner the best qb we've faced - elusive and a strong arm. Buckram was the fastest rb for sure - not sure if I'd rate him ahead of Waters from Hays Consol. - both were good.

I think the best team we played was Harker Heights. Simple they took the fight to us and that was a game we were fortunate to come out with a "W". Best RB had to be Michael Goodson from Klien Collins. Goodson gained over 100 yards with no team on Lufkin. Goodson was the only thing Collins had. To bad it was a piss poor team he was a great RB and holds an ofeer from USC. Best QB was no doubt Brent Garner from Cove. played with alot of heart and emotion.

I liked the Quarterback from Buda Hays (I just like saying Buda Hays) The way he read the defense on the option pulling the ball out after the running back had been hit just magic. for runningback I was ipressed with the kid from the woodlands only running back to consistly get outside the defense.

1. Even it was only a scrimage, I would have to say Longview.
2. RB Magee from Longview by far. Fast, quick, & strong.
3. I didn't see the QB from HH, but Brent Garner from Cove was the best.

1. Best team was probably Cove. If Cove had played the entire game the way they played the second half, they would be playing SLC.
2. Best rb...Cove's, Amadeus Waters (Hays), and the kid from the Woodlands.
3. Best qb...Gardner (Cove), and Shorts (HH?). Different styles but both very good at the way they run their respective offenses.

These are my opinions.

I was awed by the Harker Heights qb Donnie Shorts. That kid was awesome, the best all around qb that the pack faced.Cove was the best team over all, and the Woodlands running back was bad and faster than the others.

I dont think the woodlands Rb is faster than Donald Buckram (4.36), maybe the Lufkin just wasn't as fast as they were against Cove....lol

Lufkin didn't get to face the best team that would have matched up with them and maybe had beaten them......just in a scrimmage...........

You've got to win the first one to have a chance to beat Lufkin.Plus, nobody in the state but longview thinks winning a scrimmage should be put on thier win lose record for the year!!!

I agree 100 percent on those picks. LOL at scrimmage games. I believe Lufkin is like 0-4 or 0-5 in scrimmage games in the last 5 years but are 64-7 in REAL games in that same time span. That should tell you how serious Lufkin takes scrimmage games. Outlaw clearly states that he makes no effort to win them and it is obvious. Maybe Lufkin's 2nd and 3rd string players can play better at the end of these scrimmage games and pull one of them out next year who know's?? I know i am really really looking forward to it. ;) I am just picking on ya bleed i know you do not count scrimmage games. and you are correct, If Longview would have lived up to the expectations then that would have been the best team Lufkin had faced all year before SLC.
