supercentex/WLB:

As a Texan, do you get immunity from unprovoked attacks when you post things about non-Texan teams?

Why would you ask such a question?

I'm sure that some people are interested in seeing what Chaminade-Madonna looks like.

If I mention the words "Ohio" or "Colerain" in ANY manner, I seem to get 2 or 3 or 4 guys go after me with claims of attacks on Texas or REL. Ex. I post a list of Colerain's top guys and where they are being recruited, and then ask about RELs top guys and what schools are looking at them (no insults or belittling comments AT ALL). BANG! These guys are on me like a bad rash with all kinds of accusations (which they can't back up).

You haven't noticed this?

Well you are on a Texas board....what do you expect? Same thing happens when people go to other out of state boards and post about their teams. They are protecting their teams.........and state.

It all comes with the territory that you are in.

Well, I would expect people to read what is actually written and not insinuate or create insults and slights that do not exist. You and I went at it for quite awhile on yappi but it was well-known that we (and many others) were slinging smack. On here, I can't say something as simple as "Colerain will have an excellent o-line next season" without it being turned into an indictment of all Texas. People take it to mean that I think that Texas o-lines therefore are NOT good or that I assume that they will run over ANY Texas d-line etc etc.... The fact that I also point out potential weaknesses for Colerain goes unnoticed.

It has been a real surprise. I would have thought that a football rabid state like Texas would welcome other input and information about what they are up against.

Yeah I hear ya.......also remember that some people on here are a little young.
Yappi and even other boards have opened my eyes to see that there are other states that do play great football. I can't pay attention to all of the states but I do watch Ohio pretty close now as it reminds me somewhat of what Texas is.
We'll be up in Ohio this year munchin' on some grundage.......and checking out both Ohio State and Colerain. SHould be a great weekend!

We do welcome input - then we provide you with some input just to set your mind straight.

Yes - you will get irrational behavior and insinuations. We do not have to prove you said anything because we do insinuate - We read between the lines. When you say "Colerain will have an excellent O-Line," To us that means - For Ohio -

And we have to make sure you know that.

Maybe its because of the camera, but this qb has some damn good ball fakes. Their getting me every time, but that could be because its getting the cameraman too.

Watched a featured San Franando Valley "Hail Mary League" game last season...featuring Notre Dame. QB is/was supposed to be one of hottest in CA. Quite frankly, thought I was watching a TX 5A Junior Varsity game. Regarding CA football: believe Mission Viejo, Long Beach teams are truely outstanding year after year...they represent the best CA has to offer....undoubtedly among best in U.S. Could they match up w/TX 5A? Maybe....but not last season.

Lack of speed is what I see, Tyler Lee is going to trample these guys from Florida.

I have watched enough game film to know what the Lufkin D would do to them, the Lee defense will do the same.

That Florida team looks very average.

If they are 2A I'm guessing they have a smaller roster. If so, that will get them in more trouble against a school like Tyler Lee moreso than a perceived shortage in talent would. If you don't have the depth to hang around for more than a quarter or two against a physical team like Tyler Lee that will come at you with waves of players...kiss it goodbye.

Why would a 2A school from Florida play a Texas 5A school? It won't even be that much fun beating them.

They are a 2-A private school that can recruit players within their area.

They regularly beat Florida 3-A, 4-A, 5-A, and 6-A schools.

Dont underestimate this team. They have talent year after year.

They look pretty good to me. Definitely better than some of the teams we beat in the playoffs last year.
