ESPN reports Colts HC Tony Dungy will retire today or tomorrow.
Sad day for the NFL - but Jim Caldwell will step in and do well.
It's always a sad day when a class guy retires and Billicheat doesn't.

Simply stated, and selfishly at that, I'm disappointed. The world will be better with Dungy out in it, making a profound impact on the lives of our youth. NFL sidelines will be worse for his absence. The man will never be as appreciate as he should be. He took the worst loser the league had ever known and got it a Super Bowl. No apology to Chuckie he knows that was Dungy's team. Then he took an up, but mostly down, Indianapolis team and forged it into the type of winner it was decades before in another location. He won with defense. He won with offense. He won because he knows how to lead men. His teams were hard working, humble and won at an unprecedented clip. The Hall of Fame is where he'll be found.

Dungy gets a bit of a bad rap for not having a great PO record. Phewy on that. I would have him coach my PO team above most coaches in the league right now.

Maybe he will reconsider and somehow get the gig in Dallas. I highly doubt it though. He is still in full control of his faculties. :D

I'll take all those division titles, 12 win seasons, playoff games, playoff wins and two world titles for a decade in a heartbeat. People are stupid and don't realize how difficult it is to excel at the professional level. Dungy is an alltimer.

I'm thinking Mike Shanahan would be a perfect fit for them.

He's not Black...
He's not Black...
Thats even better, as they are only required in South Bend...
Besides, he looks mixed to me anyway.

If you've never read Tony Dungy's autobiography "Quiet Strength" I highly suggest getting it. I'm not a big book man myself, but I love it. I've read it a few times and everytime I go to pick it back up, I can't put it down. You can learn a lot from that man.

Absolutely! If you've not read it, do yourself a favor and spend the time doing it. I'm a BIG fan.

“Class” is a reoccurring theme in reference to this man!
