well i'll say something anyway. usc will win because of several reasons. first off they have reggie bush. enough said. second, if they're defense plays anywhere near what they did against ucla, they will shut down young, who has had some rough games this year. another reason, is theyve been in this position before. they have many players on the team that went to the orange bowl (not sure) or whatever the championship game was last year. they know what to expect. Another reason, the rose bowl is usc's home, im sure they'll be a ton of usc supporters. and one other reason, oh yeah, they have matt leinart too. one of the if not the best qb in the nation at college level. if he keeps his head cool, usc wins.

Actually UCLA's home is the Rose Bowl. The L.A. Collesium is USC's home field :p.
Ill be a homer and pick Texas. USC is a great matchup, and hopefully that UT D will play great.

Some implies more than one. Show me "some" rough games. The USC defense has had "some" rough games this year.

I remember 1 main rough game and that was the A&M game. Other than that, VY has had a couple bad halves like the Oklahoma State game, but he usualy makes it up second half.

This is my take on this matchup. It's Going to be like a 26 5A Match up Vs a 25 5A match up. USC is just WAY too strong, They have had som close games, but when you are as good as that team is who doesn't want to knock you off? Everybody brings their "A" game against USC and nobody seems to get it done. I think UT's WEAK schedule will be exposed in this matchup. UT will keep it close at the half, but after halftime it's all UT. They may fare a little better than OU did, but not much better. PAC- 10 Football is just way too strong for BIG 12 Football. I think only one BIG 12 team has a chance to win a bowl and it's Texas Tech. This is just my opinion, so get your panties in a wad if you disagree. Again this is Just my opinion! :D

everyone is entitled to a bad game. As long as you win. On defense, Texas has given up a total of 175 points over 12 games; USC has given up 256 points thus far.

I HAVE STATS TOO!!!! Rankings are among NCAA Rankings.
Total Yards P/G:
USC: 587.8 (1st)
UT : 516.9 (6th)
Passing Yards P/G:

SO MANY MORE TO LIST! But those are the major ones. I couldn't find Strength of schedule though. USC played 5 ranked opponents and UT played 3. So I guess you could say USC has played the tougher schedule. And of course we already have points allowed posted.

This will be another classic game with these two teams. While Texas is the underdog, USC struggled 3 times this year and had to come from behind to pull it out- barely against Notre Dame. I can remember OU having been in the game before and that did not help them one bit last year. We'll see in January.

Dillusional Texas fans. If UT can't stop a freshman quarterback and running back against A&M then what in the world makes y'all think they can stop 2 heisman winners. Matt Leinart will wreck like always, so will Bush, and Vince Young will turn it over 3 times like he does in every big game.

Yes, UT did have a bad game against A&M. But if you're going to harp on that you also have to point out that USC has had a few bad games themselves. They may have a perfect record but they have not played perfectly all season

The difference is that when USC had a bad game it would be against a pretty good team or a team that was just playing hard and USC would be worn out from playing such a tough schedule (i.e. Notre Dame, a BCS team, having a bye week before they played a game against the Trojans AT Southbend. And SC still pulling it out.) Texas played poorly and barely won against the Aggies, not a bowl team, OK State, not a bowl team, and really didn't to too well against a "Peterson-less" Sooners team. The Big XII is the one of the easiest confrences in the nation and UT only has one good win against Ohio State.

OK, if it wasn't for one cheap pass interference call on OU, the Sooners would have taken the lead in the second quarter. Don't take too much pride in that win. Texas has a verrrry weak schedule.

So a lead in the second quarter made it a bad game for UT? What kind of argument is that? Who cares if they would have had the lead in the second quarter:confused: Last time I checked you need the lead for 4 quarters....maybe its changed in the last week or so. And why cant we take any pride in that game? Its one of the biggest rivalry games there are in college football, and we havent won it in 5 years? I think anytime Texas beats OU, you can take some pride out of it.

For all those who are saying texas isnt good and are 11-0 because they have played weak teams, you are wrong. Texas is a very good team. They have beat some good teams(OU and txTech) and have beaten a GREAT team in Ohio st. Although i think USC will win, dont sleep on UT.
I think this game will be around 14-14 mid 2ndQ and one of the teams will start making mistakes. I feel one of these teams will win by more then 14 points. I feel this guy will be a shootout, and one team will force a few plays and get behind.

12-12-2005, 07:57 PM
I believe that this game will be a shootout as well. The big matchup for this game will be Leinhart and Bush vs. Young and Charles. If the Longhorn defense can shut down Leinart an Bush, I think they have this game won, but don't count out Lendale White. For USC, all I can say is try to do all you can to shut down young from going to his targets or allow himm to run as much. If USC can do that, they will win

The refrees in that game were bad. There were scared Mack would
cry to the media if they lossed. So they gave it to them. McGee ran
over those lineman all day.

I have been a Vince Young believer since 2001, when he and Courtney Lewis(Madison High) beat Northshore 61-58. Last year he made Michigan look like Northshore (and Katy too). He follows that up with a great pass to beat Ohio State at their place. I believe USC has not seen the likes of Vince Young and will soon be believers also. If Vince comes back next year Texas has a chance to win back to back national championships. That would shut the Mack Brown critics for at least 5 or 6 years. I say Texas 42- USC 37

Laugh it up there sip. We got us a quaterback now and he's good. I bet you whorns are shakin after that scare over Thanksgiving. We would have won but the refrees wanted Radio and his boys to play for the championship. It's okay we will get them next year.
LOL, delusional fans are always good for a laugh.

It's final..........
Ronnie Lott says USC wins, and any guy that would cut the end of his finger off to keep playing the game I am not going to argue with.

I'm sure a USC alum isn't at all biased.
