OK OK I know it's not a "voting system" but I really think Plano should get team of the week for reg 1 for taking it to SLC. Their program has completely turned itself around in 2 years and deservers major props. Between excellent fans, a loud as heck band, INTENSITY beyond compare, etc. I think even though they lost you all should consider them. It would be a first to have a team of the week that lost right? Anyway IMHO.

I would have to go with my panthers. Losing your qb in a big game , tied up at 28 in the fourth. Lufkin stepped up and played inspired ball against a talented Cove team to pull out a win, when lots people think they were overrated.:D

I would have to go with Judson, did anyone really think they would beat Westfield? Honestly?

True. Judson pulled the upset. Not sure if they can beat those "hogs" from Trinity though.

Believe me WF was not small, Judson is just very very quick on defense.
I know Trinity is huge up front, just something we have to play through, but I just hop people keep telling them that they can't win, that is when they get dangerous.

I have to go with Judson, easily, if you were at the game you can understand why, they played lights out on defense.

Trinity, Lufkin, Katy and Judson get the honors this week. Next week, there will only be two picks (Div 1 and Div 2) for team of the week since we are out of region competition.

More like team of the year....CONVERSE JUDSON!
What a season for them so far. Went through some rough losses put pushed all the way to the state game.
Everyone should learn from Judson. You can get anywhere if the team believes and the fans don't give up. Records don't mean anything. And you learn from losses for betterment.
And plus....they beat Westfield. What a game for them. It Seems like they made up everything from their rough season by having the victory over the USA Today 5th ranked and # 2 State ranked Mustangs.
GO ROCKETS! WIN DIV. I

I'm not against a team losing and being Team Of The Week, but it would have to be a close loss and surely not from a 13-0 team, or when 2 teams win, and one just qualified for their first title game since 1992.
Lonny's votes for Team Of The Week:
Euless Trinity (For being in the Finals)
Lufkin (They won)
Katy (They won, but Cy Falls is a maybe)
Converse Judson (Beat the #2 team in the state)

GO ROCKETS! WIN DIV. IThanks for the support. I hope having a 4-loss team in the title game helps end some of the foolishness we have around here about people saying your teams stink because you lost a few games, etc.
I like this year more than 2002!:D We talk about being the underdog and working hard, but 2005 is Judson's signature year. The players will be talked about for eternity.
They had injuries, new coaches, a new school, a few discipline problems, special teams struggles, lot's of offensive woes, the first time they've been shutout since 1987, were at risk for the first non-winning season since 1976, and were on the brink of missing the playoffs because they were 2-3 in district with 2 weeks left.
They came back to shut out MacArthur, saw Reagan beat Churchill, and then beat Reagan by 25 when they had to win by 21. The last 4 games just continued what they started at their lowest moment in the Madison loss. Thank you players and coaches for never giving up!:D

Good, that's the 4 I said. You mean we're not doing like Little League where the loser's get a trophy, too!:p
Seriously, I think you should have 3 teams for the winners. All 3 games are competitive enough that none of the losers should get the honors and all the winners deserve credit.

Yes, I honestly thought that Judson would win. I thought so last year, too.

yes from their region they should defintly get major major props. I was refering only to region 1. if there were only ONE overall "team of the week" i agree Judson pulled it off.

Totally correct..The losses made a major room for improvement and it actually showed the coaches, which player needs to be in what postion and who should be on the field..That Madison loss was a killer, because we were winning at half..And for alot of you that didnt know, at the beginning of the season, our QB's split time..One played the 1st half and the other played the second..That loss showed we only need one to play the game..Each had their pro's and cons, but the better one is on the field..
