New thread... Let's see how this goes. Both teams had a wake up call last game, with both teams going down early. Madison took the lead on SV early, but SV dominated from there out. CF took the lead early and held it ALMOST all game.

I dont know if a 8-0 lead is a wake up call, and I know a 50-20 win isnt. Madison had a early lead on their first drive, and it didnt last long. However, they had a great year. As for the Katy game, its going to be good and I cant wait. I look for SV to be down early (like alaways) and then give them all they can handle late in the game.

You could run a poll asking who would win out of SV and the crappiest team in Tx, and more than half would vote against SV. The only votes SV gets are from people from SV. Everyone else, even if they dont know anything about either team, will vote against SV. Every poll up to this point has been against SV, and they just keep trucking! Just like almost every year while in 5A

This should be a great game. SV fans have learned not to worry about who scores first. I did pick SV to win.

The fans on here that actually know stuff about football will not vote on who they favor more. If that were the case I would have asked, Who do you like more Katy or SV??? It is about who will win in everyone's opinion. 2 very similar teams. Nobody from SA will vote for Katy, so looks like you got some extra votes there.
OKAY JUST SO IT'S NOT A HOMER OR FAVORING CASE. VOTE FOR WHO YOU THINK WILL WIN.. THANK YOU EVERYBODY AND I'M SURE THIS DID ALOT OF GOOD!!!!:D

What size of crowd does SV bring around with them? They had a good showing in 2002. Will they fill their side of Tulley? I expect SRO on the Katy side. Some of the Houston FB fans will most likely sit on the SV side just to get a decent seat. They know that Katy's crowd is known to show up early in big numbers.
ftballin11

SV brings large numbers too, even though there was still room in Comalander stadium for them to sit.. which kind of surprised me. The 40-40 yard lines were packed, but both endzone sections were sparsely covered. Few fans here, and a few fans there. Comalander only seated 4-5,000 on each side too:confused:

Well, I do what I can. I don't really know enough about either team to chime and be taken seriously though. I'm just gonna bandwagon with Katy and hope I'm right.

SV will bring a big crowd thats gonna be rowdy too.... Just refer to the SLC v SV state game last year.... 400 miles away and SV still brought in about 4,000
SV fans are some of the best in the state

I was a little shocked about the showing at the SV/Madison game. SV didn't fill up the whole stadium, which only seats 4-5000 in a 4th round play off game...

Me too :( .......I mean SV does bring a crowd but It was not to packed at the ends.....I just gotta hope that our fans realize how important and how great this game is going to be instead of staying home and watching TEXAS vs COLORADO game..... I think I am still going to have the best prediction... each team will score at least once. The team with the jerseys on will win. The one who has atleast 1 more point than the other wins. The ones that are riding a bus to the game will win.
I think my predictions are the most reasonable and likely to happen.

I think it boils down to whos defense makes the most big plays. Both offenses will show up.

I thought the stadium was fine. Just didn't care for the result.
I remember a large and loud crowd for SV. (similar to Katy's)
If turnovers are even, I predict overtime.

It will be a frozen tundra of near 32 degrees with snow flurries all day. SV players bring their jacked up 4x4 trucks in to clear area in snow for Sweet to kick field goal. Katy immediately files protest of clearing of the snow:D

Didn't like the results at that stadium last time ;)
I don't think they will need to open the hills. Ramps everywhere, plenty of standing room, a bridge going across on the side. The crowds just simply won't need all that extra room in my opinion. I know Comalander was strict, but that still shouldn't affect your fans attendance. If they said no noisemakers to Cove I think the fans would be mad, but they wouldn't protest and not show up:D
5,000 yelling fans sounds better across a stadium than 5,000 noisemakers

Hills will be opened, but I don't think it will be necessary for them. I mean, 15,000 SEATS, plus standing room(which is everywhere at this field). The Hills and all the extra add ins could put the max capacity up like another few thousand which just will not be needed. Yeah, it will be a large attendance, but not that large.

Not being a homer for the other games; my picks:
Trinity+7
Carroll+9
The hills will be alive. Gates close after 20,000.

The Spring Branch school district is expecting 18,000 for this game and thats 50% beyond capacity of seating. Hills open and SRO up to 20,000. The traffic jam after the game will shut down the Katy freeway. Katy is home or west stands and SV is on the east side.

The stadium faces east/west. To get to the visitor's side coming from San Antonio, exit Dairy Ashford. Go through the light at Dairy Ashford, staying on the feeder road, and turn right on Tully (right next to the Cadillac/Hummer dealer). The stadium will be on your right. You can also enter from Dairy Ashford on the home side, but the Tully road entrance may be easier.

Thanks KT. Should be fun. Would be a nice opportunity for an overhead shot with all blue on one side and red on the other.

Noisemakers ruin it. Those 3 little plastic hands you just swing side to side to make them clap ruin it. Yelling, screaming, cheering and any other synonym you can think of is what makes the game what it will be :)

They can be equally matched with talent. But it takes a lot more than talent to win a football game. It takes a lot of heart. Which both teams have a lot of. It's just a matter of who has it come Saturday. Who want's it more!!!
