I'll never forget this game. I saw poise, perfection, frustration and fumbles from both sides. I also saw mistakes by both coaching staffs, and moments of true brilliance that made me proud to have been there.

Texas High School Football is the best sport for fans, as well as players.
Cy-Falls, my hat is off to you. You came to play, and boy-howdy...did you ever! I'm sure these teams will see each other next year.

Cy-Falls...you have the most exciting and talented drill team I have ever seen! Keep up the good work, you should be nationally ranked.

Good luck to Katy when they face SV this week. Let's keep this a Houston Thang!

In D1....All the best to my Alma Mater, Trinity. My Xmas wish this year is a Katy and Trinity championship!

That's Trinity, with a capital T, thank you very much. Converse Judson is of course the team to beat, and a very fine program. I'm sure the coaches of CJ aren't as passe'.

Thanks for that. We're looking forward to next year when we have a bunch of kids coming back. We've started a little something up here also. We've lost a bunch of kids to D1 colleges every year but we still make the playoffs just about every year. We had a hiccup with our last coaching change but that's to be expected and we're picking up steam again. Somebody told me once that we have had at least 1 WR go to a D1 college every year for the last 8 years or something like that and we have more kids playing at D1 colleges than just about any school in the area. If that is true then there's plenty of talent here and the coaches are doing a good job of developing it.

As for the drill team, if there was a national ranking I'm pretty sure the SkyDancers would be right up there. They go to 2 or 3 competitions every year including nationals and I don't think they have failed to win a major award at any of them in the last 6 or 7 years, often sweeping them. Mrs Thompson has done an outstanding job with them over the last several years and I'm sure she would appreciate your comments.

Good luck next week and let's keep the Houston teams rolling.
