don't know much about the wildcats except they have a kid who would be a shoo-in for newcomer of the year as a soph except he may get it this year as a freshman. the kid can play and will make lots of noise for the next 3 years. they also got lots of reps for the seconds in blowouts this year.

The question is whether the previous two seasons (4-16) are an aberration or was this season at 13-1. I think it’s the former.
The Wildcats JV was undefeated until they pulled their quarterback (Harrell) up to the varsity. I believe they finished the season 8-1-1. He will make a great starting quarterback next year. He can run the option, but he is taller and has a more accurate arm than this year’s quarterback (though no one will ever play with more heart than Sfikas). Plano also has several juniors and a freshman that played on the offense this year and they looked good. Also, Plano’s new conditioning program has really paid off, the defense just always seemed to still be going strong even in the 4th quarter all year long.
The two 9-10 feeder schools were undefeated until they played each other. I’m not positive, but I believe that is the only loss either one had. One of Plano Senior’s feeder middle schools won this years state championship for 7 on 7.
Plano’s 11th-12th grade enrollment has grown 30% since West opened (from 1,900 to 2,574 this year) and should grow another 25% (to between 3,000 to 3,200) over the next five years, putting its enrollment back up to where it was before West opened.
Like this year's football shirts said, look out "The Boys are Back in Town!"

I sure hope they are back in ascendancy. Sounds like we have a few more years of split feeder schools, but the excitement and support from the community will carry into next year and hopefully the level of play will too.

The spilt in feeder schools will be fixed in about 4 to 5 years when the final 9-10 feeder school is built. All schools from elementary to middle to 9-10 will align to a single Senior High with one assistant athletic director over each "cluster".
