seems that Lufkin is losing alot on both sides to say they will be better next year. i'm not saying they won't just that they will have some big holes to fill.

They better be good Saturday. Southlake Carroll is looking for another state title.

Taco Bockly, talk about what we are doing NOW. We wil have 8 months to talk about what we will have next year.

Right now all that matters is beating Southlake.

There's more to it than everyone being older although it helps sometimes a team just never seems to jel like they should. Ask Westfield weren't they a dominate under class last year?

SLC won it all last year and are in the thick of it again this year with 56 seniors. That should point out that SLC won it with predominantly an underclassmen team. Sure, some standout seniors were there too, but a lot of their strength wqas young.

Taco needs help at times. Poor guy!! Lufkin's offense will be absolutely loaded next year but the defense will lose 80 percent of their starters. It will be the opposite of this year in terms of experience. The offense only loses Kibble ( Turner is a stud and Trevon is coming up) and they return their 2 best wr's in Dez and Ralph. The whole o-line is back. Why are we talking about this?? Oh year Taco started this thread. Maybe you and richpack can get an apartment together. ;)

Man - for your sake I hope you're right (but try and focus on this year). . . In other words, get it while it's within your grasp.;) Believe me when I say that we and S-Westfield thought the same thing (Sr laden and loaded with talent). This game is about chemistry (be a little off and well . . .) and as a "Great Coach" Bear Bryant once said (you also need some luck) when asked if he would rather be good or lucky, he replied, "In this game you need a lot of both!!" I know we had a very good team last year and expectations were high for this year too - but other factors (bad luck) overwhelmed us.:( Good luck against SLC this weekend. I am supporting LP the rest of the way.

We dont really need to worried about next year right now...all I'm hoping for next year (right at this moment) is that we'll be able to say...we're the STATE CHAMPS!

Starters yes
Penson, Murphy will be back from the d-line and Lufkin loses all of their lb's although Davis #40 is getting playing time in the playoffs (junior) Lufkin will have Jackson, Landry, and the new kid Terry back in the secondary. Lufkin will lose about 7 starters. Obviously the 2 biggest losses are Mandela, and Leonard.

I'm glad to hear y'all have some experience coming back on both sides. If y'all don't win it this year you will soon.
