Minnesota coming off a 55-0 shellacking at the hands of Iowa. Has scored 14 points in the 1st quarter on Kansas, and leads 14-7. Once again a Big 12 defense is making a QB look like a heisman candidate.

Its just dissproving this nonsense that the big 12 offenses were so incredible. That they couldn't get stopped garbage. The big 12 defenses were bad, and they make offenses look unstoppable.

uuuuuuh.... i think you're not understanding the arguement. no one called kansas' offense "explosive". mizzou in the north was called "explosive" till they played ou and texas....and okie lite.....and kansas.
okie lite had a balanced offensive attack compared to the rest of the conference (teams that matter) with tcehlahoma being pass heavy, and zerou running to open up the pass. texas played pass to open up the run, but we all know greg davis would rather have it the other way around (damn damn mr. conservative).
as far as defenses go, texas has an ungawdly DL, tceh can create turnovers, and zerou is balanced in the backfield. okie lite....don't remember.

if you call 9-14 for 92 yards midway thru the third "looking like a heisman candidate"...well, then you can imagine why your posts don't garner much respect around here.

In the 1st quarter he was doing. Problem is their offense hasn't been on the field much. Their defense can't stop KU. Which is no surprise because they haven't stopped any team with a good offense all season long.

The big 12 might be the 2nd best conference, but that would be by a very slim margin. Their teams are overrated.
Texas and OU are the only elite teams. The rest are no better than Oregon/Cal. Take OU and Texas out and look at your conference. It sucks.
Bottom line is being the 2nd best conference in the country doesn't hold much merit. None of the conferences this season were uber tough.
The SEC had lots of very good programs having down years, and the Big 12 had a bunch of their teams. Playing super soft schedules in OOC games. Which helped their overall records.

Cal beat Michigan State, and won their bowl game over Miami(ACC). Oregon lost to Boise, and scheduled Purdue. Who when they scheduled them were decent. Who did TT and Oklahoma State schedule or beat that was a good OOC opponent? Michigan State is better than any team. Either of those teams faced from an OOC opponent.

your football logic is unassailable. I guess it's just a shame that nobody else in the country can see things as clearly as you. Otherwise being the 2nd best Pac 10 school could get you in a real bowl.

LMAO......Oregon lost to Boise(Had 2 of their QB's hurt the week before), Cal, and USC. No team with 3 losses gets into a BCS game.
I think I've mentioned it plenty of times. That the Big 12 has two elite teams, and one a little bit better than average, and a bunch of scrubs. TT is not an elite team. Put them against USC, Florida, Bama, OU, OSU, and they get shedded. None of those teams would allow them to score very much, and would have their way with that pathetic defense.

Nevada was a good matchup in Reno, and they played in the Humanitarian Bowl and Tulsa would have been a good matchup, but they backed out forArkansas. Tech ended up playing UMass as a late fill in.
I'm not going to even attept the futility that would be defending Tech's schedule, as it has driven me nuts in recents years with more cupcakes than Dolley Madison.
To answer your question, Tech did have one quality OOC game, and it was on the road. Tech's defense actually won that game for us also.

Ummm....Okie Lite had 61 scored on them before playing Oregon. Hell, they had Tech drop 56 on'em a few weeks before that. Houston dropped nearly 40 on'em (37), too. And you do realize that Oregon had NO ANSWER for Dez Bryant, other than him going down with an injury in the 2nd Qtr, dont you?? I agree the SEC was down, but they were still the best. The big 12's claim to fame was TU, OU and TT having 11-1 records, and Okie Lite being very good. Okie Lite has been exposed. TT's schedule was a joke. They had their major upset over Texas(Every dog has their day). The rest of the teams in the big 12 are bad. Anyone trying to pump up Baylor, Colorado, Texas A&M, Iowa State and the other bad teams are delusional.

OSU would have beaten them by more had the Rodger bros played. Although they should have beaten them by more this game. T.O's inside the RZ made that game close.
