So Mrs. Bird got tired of watching me trudge off to the swimming pool every morning in my same old ratty sweats now that it has gotten cold. For Christmas she gave me a new Underarmour jacket/windpant set to wear instead, and has made me promise to wear it only for athletic-related activities. I gotta say, these things are pretty damn comfortable and well made, even if I do feel like Ralph Friedgen is going to jump out of nowhere and get all up in my face. I'd wear it everywhere if not for that promise and the fact that I look like a rookie undercover cop trying to fit in with the Sopranos. I would have been a minor character that appears in only one episode, because I would have been whacked for complete and utter failure to blend in.

good advertising.
That was the first thing I thought of too...:D
I have a pair of cargo shorts that Mrs Slorch bought me for $2 or $3 off the clearance rack at Target, seriously. They are khaki and go with everything and I freaking love em..
Well one pocket is ripped in half and there's a hole where the kids always tease me about what color boxers I have on.
Mrs Slorch has threatened to chunk them. I told her if the shorts come up missing, one of her $350 purses is going to be MIA, also.
Amazingly, my shorts are still here.
It's all about leverage really...
A man should be able to call a few shots in his own house, right?

;)
I have some under armour accessories and they are really comfortable. I'll be a walking advertisement at the Cotton Bowl with my jersey, beanie, and gloves...which weren't the cheapest things out there, but they are nice.

Heck yeah, it's always the cheap, multi-purpose shorts you can wear everywhere that are the best. I have a pair of shorts that I sleep in, play sports with, and sometimes go run errands with. I've had that pair for about 7 years now...:D

1) Why does that guy in El Prez's pic not have matching socks? Never mind.
2) I'm just as bad. I have a "favorite" pair of cotton sweat pants. I received two new ones - but I refuse to give up "Ol' Blue". Never.
