The video horribly put together at the beginning...it's not so much the music than the material, although both are just awful anyway. I don't see how anyone thought this would catch someone's attention.

Eh, By far the music kills it. But I will say for its time it wasnt completely horrible.. It gave some good things, it had 3 things you want your propects to be thinking about.

1. Education
2. History
3. Playing football for a historic program


Also just as a side note, some good highlights of Eric Metcalf, Bret Stafford, Tony Jones... And the great voice of Ron Franklin.

the clips were too long. no quick transitions, which should have been a staple in that video. instead they would leave the camera on the back of the busdrivers head for what felt like an hour.

video sucked. don't sugar-coat it.

Your looking at it from a 2008 perspective... That video is 20 years old. For its time, it was likely very good. I certainly think it could have been better, but it wasn't just horrible.


Like I said, the music was a bad choice though.

Yep, times have changed quite a bit. In the old days, just seeing a highlight of your team on the ten o'clock news was pretty cool.

I think the music adds a little bit of a ghey element to it. I mean, "We can build this bridge together" as the players were helping each other get dressed.... honestly, how sweet....

The aggy thing I get, but again its just a video..

Mullets arent suprising for that time at all... mullets and crew cuts.

This video screams manlove. The kid they kept cutting to was always solemn and looked unsure, and as the video progressed it made it look like "Hey, lonesome stranger, come on over to Austin and make some new friends. Everything will be ok. Need help with your jersey? No problem. Everyone loves you."
