Why you think good sportsmanship somehow equals a pansys game completely eludes me. I would be ashamed of my Dragons if the band ever played that song, and even more ashamed if the coaches, administration, parents, and student body condoned it. There's a reason Katy, Denton Ryan, SV, etc are considered classy programs and I for one would much prefer SLC to be one of those than a group of chest-thumping traditionalists that think smearing wins in other people's faces is the only way to play a sport.

Right I think the point I was making is that YOUR fans (and some of SLCs) are on here defending the classless acts. Also this is the 2nd time your band played that song (that I know of!) which implys your admins don't give a rats-behind. And if you wanted to waste some time you can go back and find a thread I posted after the Denton Ryan game calling that kid out and saying the SL administration should have made him change clothes or go home. I don't think that they should sing the good bye song, but if they do it will not make me think any less of the Lufkin football team. Go back and point out where I called "Lufkin fans classless." I was replying to WIDE's comment about the band's song. I specifically disagree with him, some lufkin fans, and some DRAGON fans, on that issue. I never said the program as a whole, the band as a whole, etc. are classless. Also go back and look at my response to the homefield issue after someone pointed out that Dodge shot-down Kyle Field. Oh and I never expected lufkin fans "to roll over and just agree" with me. I'm in the middle on this one. We have become a pansy society in that we're too politically correct. As far as the class discussion goes, I agree with dragonsdaddy that you act like you've been there before. There is nothing I'd like to do more than talk trash to all the Houston fans that have called me names for 2 years, but that's not how I should act. Hell, I said I like the Lufkin Band & look where it got me?....I don't know what they did at the Cove game..I just like to watch them march because they actually do military style stuff instead of "dance marching", you know where they walk sideways and stuff...I think the Carroll / Plano game today was all about what is right with Texas High School Football..it was all about the game and the teams and not about showboats or obnoxious fans...

Right I think the point I was making is that YOUR fans (and some of SLCs) are on here defending the classless acts. Also this is the 2nd time your band played that song (that I know of!) which implys your admins don't give a rats-behind. And if you wanted to waste some time you can go back and find a thread I posted after the Denton Ryan game calling that kid out and saying the SL administration should have made him change clothes or go home. There is no need for that kind of crap. Also point out where I said "all your fans..."? I was specifically replying to wides assertion that the band's song is OK I didn't generalize anythign about your school as a whole.

I honestly dont understand this "jump on Lufkin" thing that's been going on here every week. When I first started coming to this site, I had lots of folks telling me about Lufkin. How good they played. How kool the fans are. Ect...
And most of them were NOT Lufkin folks.
Now Lufkin is trashy... A school/town/team/band/whatever, does not go from from good home town folks to trashy over a few months. That just does not happen. I think being a sore@ss loser is spreading around these parts..
