Only player I actually saw in person on this list is Christine Michael. And I have to say I was not at all impressed by what I saw after having heard all that I had heard about him. I know it could have been a bad game, but then again may be it was a case of playing against some weak run defenses before running into a very good run defense. So with that in mind it would be hard for me to think of him as being one of the top players in the state. I mean may be its just my view, but to me what you do against the nobodyss out there isn't nearly as special as what you do against the somebody's out there.

Christine Michael has offers from A & M, LSU, OU, UF, and The U. That alone speaks volumes about his talents. (6-0 and 202) Great Runner and Receiver!

http://vmedia.rivals.com/IMAGES/PROSPECT/PHOTO/CHRISTIANMICHAEL6_4200.JPG

He is very strong throughout his hips and thighs which allows him to generate great in-line running power needed to bounce off and run through arm tackles. Will get any offense five yards and 2nd and 5 is so much better than 2nd and 11. He has good experience catching the ball out of the backfield which adds to his upside.

I voted for Darrius Johnson from Hightower, saw him play Cinco and Allen and he was by far the best player on the field. No one even close. Not saying he will be a great college player but on the high school level untouchable, reminds me of Mike Miller who played for Willowridge many years ago, can score anytime he touches the ball.

I am a little surprised there isn't more debate on this subject. I can see a case for a few players on the list, either because I have seen them in action or by reputation.

Burkhead - put him anywhere on the field and he can be a playmaker. RB, DB, LB, WR it does not matter. He has moves and skills

Okafor can be a Game-Changer. His first step is killer, long arms very lean and super quick. Dude is going to be a Beast at the next level.

RS has proven he can play at the QB position, and he can burn a Defense on ANY play.

Nikita Whitlock- WOW his motor is always running, he can shred an OL. hopefully he finds a good fit at the next level.

JM - I have not seen him personally but his reputation says he is a monster.

Tyrik Rollison - played probably his best H.S. game in his last game, defeating one of my personal favorites Dayton in the 4A div II Championship Game.

CHDad, Farmer can attest to this as well as I, Tyrick is likely one of the best players I watched this season. That kid is cool under pressure, reads defenses extremely well, is able to scan the field and check down within seconds, throws one of the best balls I've seen in a long time. He runs the spread offense about as good as I've ever seen it run.. And I've seen it run pretty well close to perfection. He has deceptive speed when he decides to run. The young man is a flat out playmaking machine. He will be a joy to watch on the next level.

I thought that Tyrik Rollison would have at least one vote by now. Chevy MVP Round 3 of the Playoffs.

He is an athlete and a slinger, and must develop into a disciplined quarterback and passer. Makes all kinds of plays because of his tools and a scheme that places him under center, in the spread and at varied launch points. Did some Great Things at 7-on-7. Has great feet and very good speed for the position. Improvises and shows very good initial burst when plays break down. Buys second chances, but generally keeps his eyes downfield prior to running. Can make most of the necessary throws when his feet are set.

I only saw a few of them play. Only RS did I see more than one game( saw every regular season and postseason game on his HS career)

D Johnson- He was just amazing at Reliant. He burned that defense by himself and just thought that him by himself was going to get 'Tower to come from behind and win but I guess not.

Whitlock- He did ok at reliant but if he got defensive player of the year then he must of had a great season just not such a good game at Reliant.

McFarland- My cousin was the center for cy-ridge so of course he had the great opportunity to block him. Let me say that my cousin did not reach 6 foot and weighs 200lbs. McFarland had one good play against Ridge and that was about all I heard from him all game. He was about to pass out 2nd half. He didn't impress me maybe thats why he dropped in the rankings this year.

Shepard- There is nothing to say all his achievements speak for me. He did things in the play-offs against good defenses(almost 600yds/6tds by himself vs. Cove) (323 rush against Lufkin) that many kids dont even dream of. I would have loved to see Gilbert but I don't follow 4a. The thing is Gilbert dropped jaws all over texas with help from his receivers. He can't win a game by himself. Shepard also has the help of a great WR K. Johnson but can easily win the game himself. I can't wait till Gilbert takes over QB at Texas in hopefully 2 years. We will see great things from Shepard, LSU will make him an even better passer.

The rest of them are in the poll for a reason but I didn't see any of them with my own eyes.
