I have never seen such a dead crowd at this years panther games. I would stand up at the cove game and look around and see my self the only won stand then i hear (down in front) I mean in 01 and 02 the playoff games, every one stood the whole game i would love to be as loud as cove the whole game but just me it is not very loud. don't know how many times i yelled out (we have such a dead crowed)

It's just not the play-offs, it's every game. I agree that the panther nation needs to get involved. i felt the same way at the home games, and the only noises I heard was when the cheerleaders were tossing out shirts.

just find the part of the stadium where the other two cheerleading squads are sitting and i promise there is always the 3 same cheerleaders(usually on the last row of the cheerleaders that are jumping up and down yelling at the pack to play better or screaming asking why there wasn't a flag or what they are doing.

I can't remember which game it was ( during the hurricane games) that the opposing team only had very few fans and they made more noise than a packed home side. I sit on the home side and was very impressed with that crowd.:)
Believe me last night was better than normal. The Pack crowd has been waiting a year for this game and I hope they have also been waiting to get it started in the stands. This should be a great game in a place that has seen it's fair share of good games.

not only this, but a reminder to try not 2 get involved with any trash talk this week. when we show up on saturday we need 2 make as much noise as possible, and be as alive as the team when they come through that helment the whole game. nothing like an electric home crowd to pump up the home team and possibly shock the visitors

I hope the the saying third time's a charm is true.
Not that I doubt lp, I just want to take my son to his first State Championship.:)

I agree with you that we don't make enough noise.we yell the whole time, well at least I do and my friends, but we try to get the crowd going to. If we see one of the players lifting his arms, we scream as loud as we can and hope the crowd will join in. :) I promise all you will here is me and my friends yellin' Saturday!!!:D

At today's game the Plano nation was loud and was EXTREMELY excited. It was a huge game for Plano. I hear they had a pep rally and over 4,000 attended.
SLC has had many games like today's game in recent years. In fact they have played many games that were much more important. That is why the Dragon nation was fairly quiet at the beginning. When crunch time came, the Dragon fans responded and were very, very loud. At SLC we've "been there" and "done that" many times in the last couple of years.
Lufkin also has a championship team. They probably don't get all that excited at district or play-off games before the semis. Why? They win almost every time and it's hard to get excited time after time after time after time.

Don't you think that the crowd affects the player's peformance, knowing that the fans are fully charged and behind you 100%?
To add, slc or lp playing more important games, i feel every game is important, in being that if we loose- we go home.
