THANKS - yes we will be back and with a vengeance...it will be a fun 2006.

Good luck in the Semi's. I'll be pulling for you all but I have to work the Cy Falls baseball/softball kickball fundraiser so I won't be able to go to the game.:(

Congrats on the year. It's hard to get this far, it hurts when you lose, but you'll be proud of the memories.

I'm just glad to get to Week 15 ALIVE!:D

CyFallsMom...it was wonderful meeting you before the game.

What a great team you guys have. I would guess that they played their best game ever today. Congrats on a wonderful season and I'm positive you will be back in it next year.

I saw nothing but a classy school with great fans and a really tough talented team.

I did however almost have a heart attack.

The Tigers luckily for us showed up in the last 6 minutes - whew!

What a great game. What a game.

I think I did have a heart attack!!!! That's what I get for being such a sports nut. Most women are happy doing needlepoint but I'm into the sports. My sister is a professional drag racer - it runs in the family.

It was very nice meeting you too - I met a few more later on and we were just musing about how nice you all were. I was very impressed by all of you and your passion for your team. I know we seemed to have a little too much passion at times but it was oh so exciting for us to even be that close. And, by the way, isn't that the closest score you have beaten any other team by this year?? That's a bit of a moral victory if it is.

Yes

CyFalls played us better than any other team this year.

The Tigers have only been behind once I believe and it was for a very short period of time.

YES! ABSOLUTELY! I'd say that's more than a moral victory. It's something to take into next year and build on.

Katy has a long running winning tradition, a huge mental advantage in the playoffs. But your boys overcame that in every phase...offense, defense, and coaching.

I could say we didn't come to play or blah blah blah, but I won't discredit the awesome effort by a great opponent. I was very impressed.

The Golden Eagles started 16 juniors against Katy ... offensively we lose 1 OL starter and the TE and Z receiver ... defensively we lose 1 DE, 2 ILB's and 1 CB.

The OL will be very dominant next year with another year of strength and conditioning and overall experience, while the skill position(s) will be among the tops in the Houston area, if not the state. Speed, athleticism and playmaking ability will be at every ballcarrier eligible position on the offense. Bringing all of that together will be the QB, who showed incredible poise and leadership throughout the playoffs.

Defensively, 3 out of the 4 DL's return, and will benefit tremendously from additional S&C work. The LB's will shift, with the SAM moving inside to give 220+ lbs of runstopping ability inside. The FS and SS both return, with invaluable experience gained in the latter half of the year, while the CB's will be replenished.

Barring injury, CyFalls will be a juggernaut next year. The kids will not be satisfied with anything other than a state championship.

i am excited for next season also. but, juggernaut? yes, very good experienced talent coming back. but i would not go out on limb and use the juggernaut word.

by the end of this season, the eagles showed their potential. i am very excited to see welch's progression next year. he really did a standup job of putting in the extra work in preparing for the varsity level. i could see the fast progression he made each week after being forced to step up to varsity and lead the team from the final game of the season thru the playoffs. if he can make that much progression that fast under the pressure of the playoff situation, just think what is possible for him after going through this off season and then 7on7 next summer!

one thing the players need to be thinking about ALL winter, spring and summer.........they must come out next season and play game ONE and the other 9+ with the intensity and effort they put forth in the katy game. it was not just their physical abilities that allowed them to play katy the way they did this year. it was their preparation, discipline, effort and desire in that game that empowered them. it takes that level of committment each and every week during the season. class of '07.......START THE TRADITION!!!
