katy needed a game like that. They've been playing blow out games all year...now they showed their fight and character and the starters had to play all 4 qtrs. Katy will now have crazy momentum going into SV..and now they now they arent invincible and need a great week of practice....WOW is all I can say. CONGRATULATIONS CY FALLS...they played amazing. I am a Katy fan, but if I was for Cy-Falls..I'd be proud to say I support the Eagles after this game. simply amazing game..instant classic

Ill say congrats to the Cy-Falls players for playing a hell of a game....but the coaching staff deserves to walk back to the northwest side of Houston for their playcalling from the last play of the third quarter when Katy scored an 80 yard td on third and 10, all the way thru the 4th quarter....

I wasnt there, but I can bet everything I have in my wallet right now, which is only $43, that the coaches were looking at the scoreboard and watching the clock....They had Katy beat...keep running your offense..they got too cute...throwing passes on 4th down, twice in the 4th quarter, both of them got picked off.....they played prevent defense, which we all knows prevents you from winning.....

Katy pulled off their largest Hudini act ever....Katy is just like Notre Dame...when you figure you have them beat..hell, buried, they came right back and get you.

Congratulations to Cy Falls. Although that's the last thing you probably wnat to hear right now, you guys played your butts off and you represented yourselves and the school tremendously well. You guys played one hell of a game today.

I was at the game, and I think the Cy Falls coaches did a great job. Their defensive schemes bottled up Katy's running game all day. They used Jack Freeman brilliantly; he is there best player, and they knew Katy would key on stopping him, so they used him as a decoy, they had him throw a half back option for a key long gainer. He made a great block that sprang a touchdown. Cy Falls coaching rhythm kept Katy off balance all game long. People may wonder how Katy could struggle against a 9 and 4 team. The answer to that is that they weren't a 9 and 4 team. The regular season doesn't matter in the playoffs, the regular season is only to determine who gets into the playoffs, and what their seeding is, nothing more. Ask Longview, 10 and 0 in the regular season, one and done in the playoffs. Cy Falls was a 3 and 0 team just like Katy, Lufkin, Copperas Cove, Smithson Valley, Madison, Plano, and Southlake. By the state quarterfinals there are only exceptional football teams left. They have made it to two consecutive State Quarter Finals. Cy Falls has really good athletes with good fundamentals and good coaching; they play the game of football very well indeed.

Congratulations Cy Falls. Y'all have nothing to be down about. It's a shame that someone had to lose. We were there last year and know what you're feeling right now. I never thought it would be a blowout game and over by the half as others have posted. This was the most intense Katy game I've attended.

Congrats on a great season and playoff run. I'm sure you'll be heard from next year and hopefully people will give you more respect. The Sky Dancers did an incredible halftime performance. We really enjoyed it and I'm glad we gave them a standing ovation.....they deserved it.

I just returned from the game and our after game dinner with some Katy friends who were VERY respectful. This was a hell of a game from start to finish. I will say it seemed that our side was having much more fun for 3/4 of the game but Katy got the last big cheer. I saw Katy people leaving when we were up by 18 - I was thinking "this is KATY for crying out loud - they could come back at any time". By the way all you Katy friends that I finally met - you guys were the nicest and it was great to finally meet you all. Carl, sorry about the cowbell:( But, I did hear the train whistle - good job there, Mr. Engineer.

We had some mistakes near the end which hurt but I want to say to all those Eagles who may possibly read this: You guys are most awesome. You are fine young men who played above all your critics expectations this entire playoff run. All week we were hearing how it would be 52-0 at the half and you all slashed that one all to pieces all day long. You could have easily won the game today but don't hang your heads. WE, your Golden Eagle family, are SO proud of what you accomplished both this year and last and, especially today. I have heard from several Katy folks that were very impressed by your play (and by the Skydancers too!!) and it was the BEST playoff game that I have ever seen you guys play. All of the coaches did a great job today and we really enjoyed sitting near their wives - those gals are FUN!! There are a lot of Juniors on this team - expect to see the Golden Eagles back next year - and better than ever. There are some Seniors who will be leaving who will be sorely missed and who had a really good game today.

I, for one, am just darn proud of this team and I know there are many others out there who feel the same. Now, it's on to baseball season - another very exciting sport at Cy Falls!!

Excellent game by Cy Falls and great comeback by Katy. They're both winners!!:)
Falls made the big plays and controlled the first 34 minutes. Katy made many huge ones in the last 14. The Tigers needed every one of them.
