I second that...
I never did stuff like this in the past because I thought it would get deleted. My football firing thread has more value than this, but the soccer one might be debatable. The degree of difficulty in my posts were greater. All wide needed to do was add and he couldn't do that right half the time! :p
I don't care that he did it because he wanted to hurry up and be a Hall of Famer.

It was his time to get in, but he had to get to 5K first. Your time is to be determined.

It amke sense that your goal was to get in the HOF but where did it all come from?
Champ said Wide was 3 football fields and some other stuff away. He just decided to keep posting until he got to 5K. Several people had emailed the admins about him getting in and they decided to do it at 5K.

One note about the post counts...
The HOF isn't all about who can post the most. Some of the guys have less than 50, but they've been on the site since it started. Tenure has much more to do with being in the Hall than post count and wide has been around for a couple years in various incarnations.
That's because he keeps getting in trouble and has to change his name! :p

OK, here is the deal. KT2000 said one time that anybody who got 5000 posts would automatically be in the Hall of Fame. There were more people that did it than he probably expected and he stopped the auto entry. Ktchamp97 had a side deal with Wide before that that he would finally be in the Hall of Fame when he hit 5000 posts, but it wasn't said publically on the board and Wide had been campaigning for a while to get in. Wide had come and gone quite a bit over the years, been banned, lost posts in bannings and also lost posts in deleted threads, but his official post count when this thread started was 4,700.
The whole purpose of this thread was to get the last 300 posts in one day to get in the Hall of Fame. Three Gretzky's were 3 times 99 (His uniform number) to equal 297. 1 McGrady and 2 Reggie McNeal's (Their uniform numbers) equal 3 and 297 plus 3 equals 300.
The next post was 3 Gretzky's and 2 Reggie McNeal's (299). 297 was just 3 Gretzky's. Once he got to 296, it turned to 2 Gretzky's and some form of the number 98 (Like maybe a Jessie Armstead) or I think he'd throw in a few combo's for subsequent numbers like (1 Jim Brown and 1 Randy White or 44 plus 54). As much as I remember, he would mainly stick with somebody that wore the number he needed to add. I'm sure a 2008 thread would have 2 Gretzky's and 1 Orakpo for 296!:D
If you go back and read the thread, you see a bunch of people that were confused and you'd also see some of us throw out suggestions and do our own counting. ktchamp97 got in somewhat early and appreciated Wide's efforts and he was in the Hall as soon as he hit 5000.
