Need some help, game freaks...
I am looking at the sets that come with the guitar, drums, microphone, and the game itself.
Which one do you prefer and why?
I am leaning towards getting our boys GH- World Tour because the drums already come with the cymbals.
Other than that, they look almost identical...
What say you?

Rock Band II is an excellent game, but I've never played GH:WT, so I can't really make a good recommendation.

That is a very good website to go to if you want to compare games, read summaries, ect. Hope that helped!

Guitar Hero- World Tour has a lot of good songs on their playlist. They do look identical, but I would go with GH- WT for the fact the guitar buttons are a lot smoother to use than Rock Band's guitars. Rock Band's guitar keys suck major bananas, they stick and its annoying.

I haven't had a problem with RB2's guitar buttons. The strumming bar is kinda tight, but I haven't played it much. The only annoying thing I've come across is that the cymbals won't stay up on the drum set. I'll have to figure out how to get those anchored in better.
RB2 was rated a over a full point higher than World Tour by IGN (9.0 for RB vs. 7. something for WT). RB2 was deemed to have the much better replay value of the two due its career mode and superior online playing ability to WT.
I think the hardcore guitar players like WT better because the advanced songs are more difficult. RB2 has some pretty salty high end songs though. And of course there is always downloadable content to add.
The basic gist I have is that WT has better instruments, but RB2 is the better game as far as content goes.

ideally you want to look at the play list per song thats what matters most with this harmonic games.
Your playing along to the song, you dont want to get one with some crappy songs that you dont like.
