2005 will be the inaugural playing of will hopefully be the annual "Champions Classic" at Abilene's Shotwell Stadium. This year's lineup...

Aug. 26 @ 7:30 - Ballinger (2A) vs. Clyde (3A)
Aug. 27 @ 2:00 - Midland Lee vs. Southlake Carroll
Aug. 27 @ 7:00 - Abilene High vs. Lubbock Monterey

Both the Lee/SLC game and the AHS/Monty game will be broadcast live in the Metroplex and West Texas markets. The Ballinger/Clyde game be shown though out most of the state (tape delayed of course) later that night.

I was planning on being in one of two places during Zero Week...#1 was at Reliant for Katy vs. TWHS and #2 was Shotwell, for the games above...

Turns out I get "option" #3...I will be back in France (trust me, it's no vacation!) for the entire month of August and the first week of September. :mad: I won't even have internet in the hotel.

In the long run, it's great that I'm getting to get it done sooner rather than later, but dang, the timing sucks.

Anyway, not to hijack the thread...I'm just a little peeved that I'll miss the opening two weekends of the season.

Turns out I get "option" #3...I will be back in France (trust me, it's no vacation!) for the entire month of August and the first week of September. :mad: I won't even have internet in the hotel.

Dang ktchamp....what did you do wrong to deserve that fate? I am not sure what is worse: missing some good early season football games or having to live among the "French" for a few weeks. Good luck! :(

Ooch... that post makes me want to go cry. That's horrible !!!! Heck, you should of at least try to move it up a month so you can check out Lance Armstrong race in the "Tour de franceeeee" to get something positive out of it.
