Speaking of re-alignment, though it will never happen, they should move lufkin to the cen-tex area. Atleast we could measure ourselves against good quality teams. NO disrespect to 14-5a, but lufkin has had no real challenges until the play-offs.

Lufkin will get moved to the Humble, Beaumont District placing them in Region III

Waco is going 4-A for sure...everyone knows this. They reported and for the past 2 years have been at 4-A numbers. Waco non-district already is Midland High (first game in Waco), Copperas Cove, and others....

Cove reported 1,949.....so, depending on what they bump the cut-off to........Cove might go 4-A also.

Cove's always on the bubble of dropping to 4A, but they won't. Somehow they always manage to come up with just enough kids to stay 5A.

It was huge psychologically. Especially beating them this year in the final seconds. I looked at the program last night and Lufkin looks loaded for next year. But if you want to be the best, then you gotta beat the best.

I hope Ellison and Georgetown come in so we don't have to travel to Bryan/College Station.

I agree with the GTown Ellison deal maked 13-5A more compact, but I will miss playing AMC as I know they will. It has been a great rivalry we will see what happens!!:D

I really dont think elison is that good, yea they had a good playoff run, but this is 5A. HH beat them in a scrimage 21-0 in one quarter. Elisons star QB "huricane" ivan is pritty good tho. i would like to see Killeen up, that would take the HH killeen game to a different level.

Lufkin will be loaded next year on the offensive side. Only two or three starters are leaving.Defense will loose more starters.

IT would not matter if Cove is in 4A or 5A a Cove Lufkin game would be a great game. When you have two head coaches that bring class to the field, you will have two class teams on the field. A Cove Lufkin game would be worth double the cost of a ticket.
