Cool - wonder how realistic it will be for these guys to be in the Heisman hunt? Nobodyyyyy had heard of Alex Smith this time last year - we'll see. Leinart is the favorite to win again obviously.

id have to agree with the ESPN, but i belive Adrian Peterson is going to give both of them a run for the money though

I certainly agree with that assessment. But I also believe that it will take a lot of luck for someone other than Matt Leinart to win the trophy.

Linart is the front runner but after the way VY finished last year I think he is a strong contender. Not good for your pro career to win the Heisman two years in a row. We'll see at the end of the season......

If Texas beats OU this year, i think VInce gets the Heismen. If Adrian Peterson duplicates last year without Jason White, Mark Clayton, Mark Bradley and company, he gets the Heismen. If Reggie can't beat either UT or OU, he wont be in the picture, but if he does, he will be a finalist IMO. But Matt Leinart should still win it. Just my two cents.

I think Ted Gin Jr from The Ohio State University has a great shot to win it, as does Chris Leak from UF, from what i have heard, Leak has picked up Urban Myer's offense pretty quickly, he is a more talented player than Smith was and I think playing in the confrence that he does will give him plenty of exposure and opportunities to win it. Reggie Bush could also become a major factor in the race, but you have to wonder if the duo of Leinart and Bush will take away votes from each other.
