Too lazy to link it, but he gave them his commitment. You'll just have to trust me.

Ummm... no Texas fan has ever expected Chris Williams to come to The University. Tariq Allen is, was and always has been The University's top LB target. The coaches did come to Abilene to watch Chris practice, but never offered.

You're a few months late and dumb to boot. I said the following several months ago...

The coaches came to Abilene to watch him practice and I was hoping he would receive an offer, but he did not. Bottom line, the Texas coaches like Tariq Allen more and don't see the need to take another MLB in this class.

Who said they're not interested? All Texas schools have shown much interest. All but Texas I believe have offered. The better question is, why would the possible two time state defensive mvp want to play for the defenses available to him in this state? Chris has the kind of talent that in the right hands could be 3 years and day one NFL draft pick. None of the Texas schools who want him have shown anything remotely close to coaching/talent development worthy of Chris' talents.

If this were the state of Florida or California where he had such LB developing programs as Miami or USC, then I could understand people not wanting him to leave the state, but it frustrates me to say that no Texas university, my own Horns among them, does justice to the level of LBing talent produced in this state. It is by the grace of God alone that talented Texas LBs choose to stay in state when much better LBing programs sit just beyond our border at Mobilhoma and LSU.

I must respectfully disagree. Since 2000, Texas, Tech, A&M and TCU have had exactly 3 LBs taken in the NFL draft and only 1 of them, Derrik Johnson, was a first day pick (the others went in rounds 6 and 7 and are no longer in the NFL). In that same time span, the trailer trash alone have had 8 LBs drafted including 5 on the first day. The programs in this state are terrible at developing LBs. I don't know why, but they are.

Unfortunately, when it comes to LB development, Texas is not much better. Many high touted recruits have come to the 40 acres only to leave as afterthoughts. The irony is that the best LB Texas has had since DJ, was the little 2 star in Rashad Bobino. I suspect Muck, Norton and (if he can stay healthy) Kindle will mark an end to that trend, but there is no question that the 40 acres under Mack Brown have been a bit of a LB graveyard. I can only hope that Robinson, Johnson, Allen, etc. carry on any positive trends Norton, Muck and Kindle might start.

Wow, such raging bias.
