No. Best option is Limewire but it's not 100% safe. My friend uses it frequently and has become effective at determining which files are likely corrupt and which are safe. Takes getting used to. Personally, I just don't deal with it because I buy into the profit bonanza that Apple has going with iTunes.

I used to use limewire, but then you get a bunch of crap and sometimes it takes forever to download. I just don't feel like dealing with it.

I just use iTunes and buy my music. .99cents per song isn't bad at all.

It is illegal to download music through file sharing software (Limewire, Kazaa, Sharebear, etc) but the file sharing software is perfectly legal much like a car is legal but speeding is not. The chances of you getting caught are almost zero especially if you are just downloading and turn sharing off. Either way it is still illegal.


The best LEGAL alternative is Microsoft ZunePass but even that software is kind of worthless unless you own a Zune.
