Texans win their fourth in a row against the Titans. They are up and coming - have a good, YOUNG coach. AJ is a beast, Schaub is servicable, Slaton was a steal, D is looking good.

Then don't cry about not having as much talent. The Cowboys picked a lot of talent while according to you, the Texans picked players who would work well together. It's working for the Cowboys, it's not for the Texans.

And yes, the Cowboys need to get rid of Phillips, but they aren't headed down THAT fast. Injuries have hurt them more than anything this season.

The Eagles and Redskins are both playoff contenders (or were before the Skins decided to start sucking). Even so, even the Skins have as good a record as the Texans. But compare that to Jax who is 5-9...

i believe now that their starting qb is back for 2 weeks, they've ridden in to a 4 game winning streak.... while the pokes.... well we remember pitt.....

it was actually a jab at jones for picking some of the most dysfuntional players in the league to work together behind a soft coach, and now leaves his fans with a hand full of lint and bottle of whiskey to cope.

i'll take the texans mediocrity (which is actually leading to better then i expected) over the pokes high expectations of never fufilling your duties in the nfc.

Yeah, they lost to the Steelers, one of the AFC's best, without their first or second string runningback.

And I don't like Jones, but he's turned a lot of dysfunctional players into decent ones. Like Keyshaun who had just gotten dismissed from the Bucs. Tank Johnson has kept his nose clean since going to Dallas, etc. Heck, he won with a lot of the so called troublemakers back in the 90s.

And you can take the mediocrity of never making the playoffs. I'll take actually winning Super Bowls now and then and making the playoffs even if it means having a few disappointing seasons.

Congratulations on being the NFL version of..... Northwestern. Oh wait, hasn't Northwestern had a winning season this decade?

I'm very impressed with Dallas' win last night. Best defensive effort of the year. The team is too banged up to make a PO run this year, however.

I root for both teams.

While Dallas has been living on tradition for the past 13 years, they still have the best franchise in pro football. i would not say the Texans> the Cowboys.
That idiot owner, while stumbling over his own ego, still has the sack to put his money where his mouth is and will do anything to help his team win.

I'm fine with the Son of Bum as the Cowboys' coach. I like the quiet confidence and the players do play hard for him. the defense has been especially responsive since the midseason adjustments.

You see prima donnas, I see old school tough guys like Barber and Witten that would be studs in any era.

As for all of the controversy, it is a non-story as far as I am concerned. The guys are paid to win football games. they do not have to love each other for it to work. A healthy edge is a good thing, IMO. if TO is truly upset about his production, he can start by stepping up and helping his team to win. last night Tashard Choice and Patrick Crayton scored the TD's and guess what...they counted 6 points just like TO's ot Witten's. I'd love to be a player in this instance because I'd ask the media what football questions they had and then left the interview. It's really none of their freaking business.

The Texans appear to be on the verge of something very special. A key OL and DB pick-up in the offseason, and they will be extremely tough.

The Cardinals were so freaking pumped for that game...and Dallas still almost won.

The Cowboys' season depends upon Romo and Barber being healthy. If they get reasonably healthy, the Pokes will not lose. The real stars on this team are deMarcus Ware, Bradie James, and Terrance Newman. Maybe it's better if everyone keeps focusing on the offensive guys.

Houston has really underperformed, imo. They should be better, but that's just how Houston is with football, from little league on up.

I like the Texans a little more than the Cowboys, but overall I'm not a big NFL fan, so I'm just a casual onlooker, I guess.

Obviously the Texans are new, so you can't compare the histories of the teams, and when you compare 8 years worth, Dallas wins. Houston still wins head to head. And, the Cowgirl fans can probably thank the Texans for Jerryworld. You know he can't allow Houston to have anything nicer than what he has...

Go ready my post again. I said "regardless of whether preseason counts for your record or not" the Texans have beaten the Cowboys all but one time.

Sorry if you want to "take away" the losses just because it was preseason, the only thing different about the preseason is that those games don't count when it comes to qualifying for the playoffs. Everything else is essentially the same. Same ticket prices, same game rules, etc. Your argument is like saying the pre-district games don't count in high school.

Bottom line is, Cowboys didn't win those games, regardless of how you count them in the record books.

The only thing in high school that equates to preseason in the NFL, are scrimmages.. And they dont count as they are looked at as controlled practices, the same way the preseason games in the NFL are looked at... Ugh.. Good lord..

Not only that, he's WRONG. *points to 2003 preseason*

And not to mention, everything isn't "the same" as he implied. In preseason, the starters hardly play past the first quarter.

Apparently no one even interpreted what I said properly.

So, I'll continue to know in my head that the Cowboys have one once, regardless of preseason or not.

Same team, same stadium, same coaches, same ticket prices... sorry if they don't coach the games the same way. They still keep score and the games last the same amount of time with the same rules.... etc etc etc... not the same as a scrimmage at all. Sorry.

The Cowboys still.......... well, nevermind. You already know they do, you just wont admit it.

Americas team. Yea, you gotta admit, they are entertaining. The team and their die hard fans. Pure Comedy Gold.

Last I checked, both teams will be watching the playoffs from home.

When is the last time the Cowboys won a playoff game?
