Thought anyone that can't make the game would like to know what most likely will happened:



Carroll wins the toss elects to receive.

1st Qtr.

After the kickoff Carroll has the ball at the Carroll 25 due to a swarming Plano special team effort. Plano is pumped. The fans are in it!

Carroll completes a series of short passes down to the Plano 30 because Plano is playing so deep and off the WR's to avoid long pass play and try to keep Carroll from having a 50 second scoring drive. Pass play to MJ for the 30 yd score. PAT good.

Carroll 7 Plano 0

Good run after the kickoff gives Plano the ball at the Plano 40. Their fans go wild! With a series and rushing plays and a couple of third down conversions, Plano has the ball at the Carroll 25. Next play Plano fakes a run and hits a wide open WR in the endzone. The Plano Fans are deafening. PAT good.
TS is rocking.

Carroll 7 Plano 7

After the touchback Carroll at the 20. This time Carroll mixes the run and pass
requiring the Plano secondary play up against the run. The ploy works. From the Plano 45, pass play to KF for the score. PAT good. Scoring drive takes 2 mins 30 seconds off the clock.

Carroll 14 Plano 7

Next series. Plano takes the ball form the 30 to the Carroll 30. This time the drive stalls when a 4th and 2 fails to convert. 1st Qtr ends.
Plano fan are still pumped because they are still in it.

Carroll again uses a balanced run/pass attack to move the ball the the Plano 25. Next play GM overthrows a open CS and Plano INT in the endzone.
Again the Plano fans sense something great and are going wild!!

From the Carroll 20 Plano moves the ball behind an inspired offensive line play to the Carroll 45. But just as it seem Plano has the momentum, their pass is INT at the Carroll 30 by SS. Now Carroll hands of to soph sensation TN and carries to the Plano 40. Next play BAMB, 40 yard pass to a streaking MJ for the score. PAT good. Things a little quite on the Plano side.

Carroll 21 Plano 7

After Carroll kickoff Plano marches 30 yards then punts to Carroll. From the Carroll 10. It takes Carroll 5 pass plays and 3 mins, finished off with a 3 yard plunge by GM. PAT good.

Carroll 28 Plano 7

Time expires in the 1st half. Plano fans are pretty well drained having seen what looked a close game taking on the early signs of a route.


Bands and Drill Teams are superb!!


3rd Qtr

Plano gets the ball first in the second half but is unable to sustain a drive and punts to Carroll. From the Carroll 30 BAMB, another long pass play to MJ. PAT good. Pass play took 15 seconds. Plano fans are wided eyed now. It dawns on them they are down 28 points to the number one team in the nation.

Carroll 35 Plano 7

Plano 3 and out. Carroll BAMB! This time a 75 yard run by TN after what appeared as 4 missed tackles. PAT good. Some of the Plano fans are starting
to leave. There is still 8 mins left in the 3rd qtr.

Carroll 42 Plano 7

Plano takes the kickoff and with a great runback has the ball 1st and 10
on the Carroll 30. Then after one first down. Pick up a rushing score on a 20 yard run. PAT good. Some of the Plano faithfuls are excited again.

Carroll 42 Plano 14

Carroll gets the ball on the Plano 30 and with 4 pass plays scores again to finally quite the Plano fans for good. PAT fails. End of 3rd qtr.

Carroll 48 Plano 14.

Plano is 8 and out and punts. Riley Dodge comes in as new Carroll QB. The third receiver corps is in for Carroll.

Final Carroll 48 Plano 14.

i think plano wont give up many big plays that early in the game, but that is a good prediction...you never know though

First play from scrimmage your QB is hurried and forced to throw a late ball where it is int'd by Victor Jones who caps off a 35 yd TD return.

Plano 7 SLC 0

Plano kicks again (need I mention thru the uprights) SLC ball on the 20.
After two first downs SLC finds itself driving in at the Plano 45 where the pitch is given to your back who is hit so hard by Matt Nicholson he sees stars and, by the way, fumbles. Plano ball at Plano's 40. We cap off this 5 minute drive with a Justin Jordan TD from the 7 yd line.

Plano 14 SLC 0

2Q

SLC starts from the 20 after a Sheffield 60 field goal, sorry kick off. SLC is able to pass the ball over 10 short plays to the Plano 25 but after 3 shots in the endzone is forced to kick a filed goal, which is blocked, by the cast of Ryan Burkhead and returned by him for a TD.

Plano 21 SLC 0

SLC once again starts from the 20 and is able to make an impressive Hail Mary to Renfro and is downed at the Plano 30 after two short incomplete passes and a run for no yardage SLC is forced to kick a 48 yd filed go and its good.

Plano 21 SLC 3

Plano fields the kick at the 10 and Justin Jordan returns the ball to the Plano 35 where an agonizing 18 play 8 1/2 minute drive is capped off by a 15 yard fade pass from Sfikas to Greg Rideaux.

Plano 28 SLC 3 Halftime

3Q

Plano returns the kick to the Plano 25 where another 17 play 7 minute drive is capped off by a 12 yd Sfikas mid-line run for a TD.

Plano 35 SLC 3

SLC goes to work from the 20. At 1st and 10 from the SLC 40 McElroy sustains a concussion after a ear-hole sack by Burkhead and Nicholson.

SLC's no name back up QB comes in 2nd and 17. Backup throws Int to Hendrix 1st and 10 Plano from the 50.

Plano ends the 3rd driving to the SLC 40 1st and 10 Plano.

4Q

Plano continues the drive eating tons of time on the clock when at the SLC 18 Sfikas opt pitches to Jordan for the TD run.

Plano 42 SLC 3

SLC deflated at his point goes 3 and out and Plano is able to get the ball back after the punt. Plano is unable to convert after 9 plays and is forced to punt. The punt takes a Plano bounce at the 3 where it is downed at the one.

The next play SLC's backup is sacked for a safety.

Plano 44 SLC 3

Plano ball 1st & 10 after the kick.

Plano draws out the rest of the quarter with 14 play drive and neals the last 2minutes.

its funny how each assessment is completely on different end sof the spectrum. ii'm sorry wildcat...but 44 - 3 would never happen. There is no way you can keep the dragons out of the endzone. Surely it must be over 6 years since SLC has not scored a TD. I think slcdragondad's scenario is more likely, but i doubt that will happen too.

The good news for me is I am in the process of selling my house in Plano we are staying in plano but moving to another one. I just recieved word that they are showing it and my wife has instructed me to be out by 9AM.

Odds are I will meet some friends at Hooters in Irving for some wings and maybe a cold beer.

I am trying to be there no later than 11-11:30 to get a good parking space and seat.

The next lowest was in 2002 Area Game vs Sam Houston - SLC scored 19.

The next lowest is last year's State Title game vs SV. SLC scored 27.

All the other SLC 5A games have an average points scored of 46.

Keeping SLC to 3 points ain't gonna happen.
