I would like to wish the Wildcats luck on Saturday. This is easily the most anticipated matchup of the year so far.
In my opinion, much more so than the ET / SLC talk. Just because of the passion both schools and fans fan shown in the past week.
I look forward to a well played, top notch effort game out of both squads.
Let's pray everyone stays healthy, and at the end we can all walk out and say 'Now *THAT* was a football game', regardless of who the winner is.
See you in 21 hours, Cats.

After all of the messages and postings this week, I have even more respect for SLC’s fans. Hopefully everyone at the game (especially the students) will keep things in perspective and represent their schools well.
Here’s to no injuries and a lot of fun! Good luck Dragons!

Good luck to the Dragons as well and safe travels to the game.
I would also like to say thanks to dragonsdaddy, dragonsfan and all the other SLC fans who had a good sense of humor this week it made for some fun, but all too many threads.
The time for trash talk has past as the countdown has begun.
I think tomorrow will be a great day for all!

Anyone have any interesting pregame rituals? Food before game? Lucky shirt? etc.

We have a group of 14 that go to the games. One of ladies orders custom made M&M's from the M&M shop in Las Vegas. Half are white, half are maroon. The white M&M's have Plano Wildcats in black written across them. She always distributes them after the band plays Grandioso at the beginning of the 4th. quarter. It has become a bit of a ritual during the games.

PawPower...don't eat too many of those maroon M&M's. You'll turn into a collie and develop a strong desire to hang around sheep.
good luck tomorrow.

i felt like i was talking to myself in a mirror sometimes. as a lifelong wildcat player/supporter, i am so proud of everything this team has accomplished, in such a short time. regardless of the outcome tomorrow, i can't believe there have been many teams go from 0-10 to 13wins in 2 years. goodluck to players coaches and fans alike for both teams tomorrow.

I agree, but I'm not surprised by Plano's progress. The coaching staff, facilities and fan support was there. They finally got over the split in the schools. Plano's student population has grown about 30% since West opened and will grow another 25% in the next four years putting Plano back to where it was before West opened.
Also the feeders are doing great. JV undefeated until their quarterback was pulled up to varsity. Both 9-10 schools were undefeated until they played each other. And Schimelpfenig middle school won the state 7 on 7 this past summer. The future looks good!

Article last September in Plano Star Courier talked about Schimelpfenig winning the 7 on 7 for middle schools. I assumed it was at a state level, perhaps it was just for PISD. I remember the article because I live across the street from the school.

Hey Lone Star. This is your buddy who you saved seats for last week. Take a couple Tylenol PM and get a good night's rest. Tomorrow will be great
