Of all the 5A teams NOT in the playoffs, who do you respect the most and why?
For me it has to be Flower Mound H.S. Great facilities, great/polite fans, sportsmanship, excellent academics. This is great school that can be as proud as any in the playoffs!

Coppell. They played an extremely tough schedule both in pre-season and in district.
Midland Lee and Longview. Both lost in the 1st round but also played a tough schedule.
Converse Judson. They are still alive. How can you not respect what they have done in the playoffs after losing 4 games in the regular season. They also played an extremely tough schedule.

If always respected Coppell. Wasn't Johnny Ringo the first coach to take them to the playoffs?

Coppell, Longview, North Shore, Abilene, etc.
Definitely Grapevine for the way they played us. I was very respectful of that.

Arlington Lamar
Although I live in Plano now with my kids in the PISD my Alma Matter is Lamar.
Eddie Peach is a great coach who has had some great football teams and with the exception of this down year has rarely not had a winning season in the past 30+ years and not made the trip to at least the first round of the play-offs.
In a way the Vikes seemed to be cursed like the Red Sox were as they have been able to get to the brink but not bring it home.
I always root for my Vikes and although I attend more games at Clark and don the Maroon, I try to make it out to Cravens every now and then to watch the boys of Vahalla.

San Antonio Churchill. They are in one of the toughest districts in the state (26-5A) and they beat Smithson Valley and Converse Judson. They proved they were a good team and finished tied for 3rd with Judson and Reagan.

Yeah what a great coach and program! Doesn't his son coach another of the Arlington schools?

Longview and Northshore are the two best that are not in the playoffs.

Is putting Madison a prediction in the SV-Madison game or did you just not read the title correctly.

Yes Scott Peach is the head at Arlington high and every year the game is called the Peach Bowl.
Kind of that way with Jaydon and Joey in Plano Jaydon at the Senior High and Joey at Plano West although they are Asst's

Thanks for throwing Judson in. I'll go with Abilene since they get to always play SLC and lose.

Yeah, they deserved to go. Next year might be their year, but they still have to deal with Judson, Madison, SV, and Reagan.
