floyd casey not being available makes this more of a problem than it should be. i doubt wisd would be big enough, just like it wasn't in 02. c-s is an option, as is smu, or nac or dkr

Forgot about that little problem of no stadium in Waco...Would seem College Station would be second choice then:mad:

I know there are plenty of options, some more viable that others. I was just wondering if anyone had heard anything for sure at this point for any of the matchup scenarios. Guess we'll have to wait until the weekend.

I am going to throw my vote in for SMU, if not then DKR

Hoping we get that far, I would love to play the state championship in your back yard at Katy's stadium. Man that would be sweet for us!

why do they not use the Cotton Bowl anymore for playoffs?

Would they play in TS? i hope not, just curious

I doubt that the region 2 rep would want to play in TS which is a second home to both Carroll or Plano

If the Floyd is not available - which is what DD is saying - anyway you slice it will be interesting regardless of the teams. Waco ISD is not big enough the way all four teams travel. A&M would be the vote I'm sure for Cove or Lufkin - but that's a haul from the Dallas area.

Darrell K Royal Memorial stadium in Austin Texas. It is the University of Texas stadium

I heard:

Plano/Cove - TS

Plano/Lufkin - TS or Homer Bryce

I REALLY don't think so:confused:

Homer Bryce holds less than 15,000. Any game that's played there will be seriously cramped.

Cotton Bowl is still natural grass. Nobody wants that anymore. And the Cotton Bowl people would not Want it so close to the Jan.1 game. But...WOW, talk about ghosts of playoffs past!

Jack said this morning that if we were still playing next week, it would more than likely be in Texas Stadium.
