How about a thread where we only talk about the X's and the O's of this game? Such as, what will Falls be able to do to Katy that the previous three opponents couldn't? What can Katy do to hold Falls under their 26.3 PPG scoring average? Lets just talk about the matchup on the field and leave the RA RA RA out of this one.

This is more for Falls fans to let us know why they think they can do it. We all know why Katy thinks they can do it because we have been force feeding it all week. Anyone?

Hello Fleeman, finally a good topic. Katy is well balanced on all phases of the game. As for cy-falls, put the ball in #2's hand as much as possible. Cy-Falls wants to spread you out while I think Katy's D with it's two corners can run with him. It will be fun to watch. Katy's offense will be able to throw down the field. I think Cy-Falls has to control the ball and keep Katy's offense on the side. As always turnovers in a big game will determine alot what goes on in this one.

Althought they were for big play, Falls only got the ball to #2 a handful of times in the La Porte game. I wonder if they will try and do more of that? Why not just line him up in the backfield a good part of the time so he gets the touches he needs? I understand that Falls will need to keep Katy's O off of the field but the only way to do that will be to run the ball and I just don't see how they can do that.

Exactly not what I was looking for, but you did get the X's and O's in there.

By spreading him out they can throw it to him(short) and they can also give him the ball on the outside zone. He also touches the ball on the return teams but I think Katy's coverage will keep him contained for the most part.

That is how they got the ball to him last week. They just didn't do it that often. Katy has a few defenses that can shut that inside screen down pretty darn quick. If Katy is in the right defense when Falls calls that play it will be 6 the other way.

That is an interesting opinion. May I ask on what bases you have formed it?

I'll go with that CASH. Can you tell me why Katy's offense and defense sucks?

Hey Fleeman93! Does this particularly insightful post from San Antarium help you out any?

Maybe we should go back to RA RA RA...

Personally, I think the two teams are a lot more evenly matched than most. Freeman (#2) is certainly a good player who had a great game last week but he isn't the only skill player we have and may not be the best one we have. He's got great speed but then so does Anthony Price and Anthony has more and acceleration. Price may give you more of a matchup problem than Jack although when either of them get their hands on the ball they can be tough to catch.

Dobbins is a good RB with some good speed and seems to hit the holes and follow his blockers well. Welch at QB has played well and has a strong arm...at the same time this is still only his 4th or 5th game this season. He's done exceptionally well so far but he still doesn't have the season or two long experience that you would like in a QB.

I think Katy's ability to control the line with their defense and Falls ability to defend against the pass will be keys. We've had some injuries in our secondary and don't have the shut down guys that we may have had in the past. Falls needs to run the ball and if they can't, it will be tough.

My impression of Katy, based on what little I know is that they are a good sound team that doesn't make mistakes. Falls can play with them but if we makes mistakes, Katy will pounce on them and then things can get out of hand quickly.

I do feel very confident in saying that Cy Falls will be the toughest and most athletic team Katy has faced this year without a doubt and will pose matchup problems for them with our 3 good WR's and RB.
