Little Barry makes a Big Barry kind of play... it's only 2A ball in Oklahoma but it was a great run

I think it is his balance above everything else that completely struck me. That is a fantastic run. I hope to see more of him in the future. What year is he?

The kid is just a high school freshman. Coaches say he is already bigger than his Dad.

Hope he goes to OSU like Daddy rather than OU. Or, a Texas school would be nice. :)

Was that a Varsity game?

One of the biggest Freshmen RB's I have seen..and yes he showed great balance...

Dang....how did I get those two confused?:D

EDIT...
I Knew Barry was at one point:
"Still, he has never pretended to be perfect. He once preached the beauty of celibacy before marriage. Then, unmarried, he fathered a son. The boy, now 4, was named Barry James, but they call him B.J. He is the star of his father's life; this past offseason they were together one week every month before the son returned to his mom in Oklahoma City."

I haven't jumped over anyone lately, so it's a pretty big deal to me. :p

Seriously, though, I hope he has a nice career and isn't crushed under the weight of impossible expectations. His dad, Jim Brown and Earl Campbell are among the most exciting running backs I have ever seenin my lifetime. Different styles, but all were great. To expect anyone to fill shoes like that would be rediculous

I was sitting in front of the TV the other day watchign the highlights as they played across the Sportscener screen. They were showing highlights of the Lions and instantly it got me to thinking I wonder if Barry has a kid. And if did what if his kid played football and got drafted one day by the Lions and lead them to the promise land just way his daddy did. Now I know some are going to say Barry never got them to the promise land but he sure as hell took them farther than they've been in a long time.

Promise Land for the Lions would be 1 win it seems.:)
