Stoops would entertain coaching in the NFL if they win the NC? I am just interested in everyone's opinion. You know there will be coaching vacancies.

I think if he wins the NC he would give the nfl a shot. JMO

I guess he could come to the Cowboys so we could continue to do enough in the regular season, only to get to the post season and lose. Sounds about right.

He might give the NFL a run. He could always come back to college, but it won't be easy getting another college job as good as OU is.

No chance in hell he leaves. He has almost complete control of a legendary program. He's having enormous (legendary-type) success and is making as much money (or more) as many NFL HC's. Why go to the hopscotch that is the HC'ing-Gig in the NFL, when you could technically see the same success/attention etc on the Collegiate level. Plus, it's just much better to be a HC in today's Collegiate game. The hype of Saturday's, Gameday, the college atmosphere, Bowl games, etc. Weighing his options doesn't seem (at all) to favor a jump to the NFL as being logical for Lord Stoops.

Yeah... I'm pretty sure Petrino and Saban burned that bridge up when they walked back across it. College coaches aren't going to be given the benefit of the doubt for a while.

I think he'd be crazy to make that move. He makes a ton of money and has control of his situation in virtually all aspects.

The world of pro football is a much different gig where even long time and highly respected coaches sometimes have very little control given the situation.

He would fail in the NFL

He's gonna be to upset when Florida stomps OU's *** to show his face in public again

He would be a great NFL coach. Always successful. Always getting deep in the playoffs. Routinely getting into the super bowl. But always losing it.

He may go. He is still young and may feel he has more to prove. As a horn fan, I would like him to test the waters.

Bob Stoops and Mack Brown have the same number of crystal footballs, in case you forgot.

Is Dick Vermeil or Bill Parcells the better NFL coach?

Cowboys need a new owner, not coach.

There's a world of difference in coaching professional millionaires and hungry college hopefuls. Stoops better stay where he is!

Cowboys need a GM, so the owner can just sit and watch, and a better coach.

There's a world of difference in coaching professional millionaires and hungry college hopefuls. Stoops better go DIAF!

that was a gift, I wonder if we ever had a ring made for the Pittsburg QB who basically gave us that game.

Well, we would have won anyway.. But Neil O'Donnell did get a ring I believe.
