Anybody know what happened to Webster Patrick from Westfield? He was a awesome RB a couple years back then got a full ride to Iowa State! I just looked at the updated roster for them and he isn't on it? Wonder what happened to him? He was a BURNER!!

Webster Patrick still is a burner. He is playing JUCO football for Butte College in California. He also ran like a 10.5 for their track team in the 100M.

He was 1st team All-California and made some 1st team All-American list as a freshman. He broke the Butte College season rushing record with 1,690 yards rushing. He also had a few 300 plus rushing games.

On alot of the Pre-season Juco All-American list. Two Texas boys are the 1st team runningbacks.

1. Webster Patrick - Butte College ( Spring Westfield)
2. James Johnson - Blinn. ( PA Memorial High)

Both are Great RB's that if they keep it all together,, we'll see them on Sundays in two years.

That would be a great fit for him. Not to far from home either.

WOW!! I wasn't expecting to here that! I thought for sure he would be the next Troy Davis at Iowa State! Good for him though, I saw him break 4 or 5 90 yard plus runs in High School! He is a good back! Good luck to him!

That's where he wanted to go before he had to go the JUCO way.

That's great. Hopefully his dream will come true and he can go there and kick some butt in the SEC.

Ps. Just not any Texas butt while his there.

I'm really glad to hear 'ole WePat is doing well. He is one of the most explosive guys I've seen in person. I filmed that 300 yard 5 TD game he had against Judson in '03 and I was just in awe of his game speed. Some guys are fast on the track, but it doesn't translate to the football field. This guy is something else. In that Judson game, he had an 85 yard TD run right up the middle and he never had to change directions...just ran dead straight. By the time he hit midfield, nobody had a prayer of touching him. The safeties had at least a 15 yard head start on him and he blew right between them...they never laid a finger on him. I was standing a couple rows behind and to the right of The Woodlands coaching staff when he broke that run and they all turned and looked at each other as if to say, "What in the hell just happened?"

He's not all that big and he doesn't (didn't) have great lateral movement, but when he hits a crease...wow. I would love to see him playing for a major D1 school one day.

Ya, he broke 1 or 2 against us when we played him for 6 and they got called back! Thank God!! Then I went to see him play Klein when I was on that side of town and he broke 2 or 3 for 90+!! This kid has the speed and skills to play on Sundays!

Ya, his got a little of Priest Holmes & L. Tomlinson in him. I think his got a really good chance to make it on an NFL roster someday. Hopefully he keeps motivated and keeps working hard and I'm sure great things will happen for him.

Hey DUKE... any insight in the Woodlands area about the possible 2006 & 2007 Woodland vs Hoover, Al game ? I've heard it from a good source (coaching buddy) from Alabama that it is being talked about pretty hard.

Ya! I herd something about that also? That would be a little strange? If any out of state game I would figure LA. or Oklahoma or something but Bama? Little strange?? Don't think I will make the trip for that one!
