To be honest im not really sure what you are asking. I think that Flordia can win the championship, if that is what you are getting at, though I hope they dont. And I have noted in other threads that I dont like the BCS rules and think they should be revised.

First off, let me say I am a Texas fan. That being said, we (UT fans) need to quit complaining about the system. It is what it is and the system was agreed upon before the season. We don't have to like it, but if the shoe was on the other foot, we would have no problem with how things worked out and OU would be the ones whining.

Yes, Texas beat Oklahoma UT lost to Tech who got crushed by OU. It's a complete cluster f***. Bottom line Texas didn't take care of business and there would be no discussion if they had beat Tech.

It pains me to say this and I cannot believe I'm going to type this, but I really think the system probably got it right. Right now I think OU is the best team in the Big XII if not the country. They are the champions and will go the MNC game. They are also very worthy and I hope they bring the NC back to the Big XII.

Texas has had a great year, exceeded expectations IMO, and I think playing in the Fiesta is a great reward. I really thought they would be 9-3 maybe 10-2. Even though I am disappointed not to get a shot at the NC, I will not complain or whine about it anymore. Time to move on and I hope other UT fans will follow suit. However, I hope the UT football team uses it as motivation to crush whoever they play in their bowl and use it in the off season as motivation to make a push for a NC next year. By the way, I think next years UT/OU game will be a humdinger and I hope the Longhorns beat the dirt burglars butts again.

Winning head to head against your opponent in this system actually means nothing....when it comes down to it, your team is at the mercy of the polls, the voters and the computers..so, congrats to the following teams for getting it done on the field:

Oregon State...who beat USC head to head, but lost their last game to Oregon

Mississippi...who beat Florida by one point@Florida with a new coach, even though they went winless in the SEC last year..they will play Tx Tech in the cotton bowl

Iowa....who beat Penn State on the field and saved the Big 10 from getting their azzes kicked in another BCS title game

Texas Tech...who played the best game in their programs history, stared defeat in their faces, but had the play of the year to beat Texas 39-33

OU..who absolutely manhandled Texas Tech in primetime in what was supposed to be an elimination game

Texas..who beat the snot of their rivals OU and Texas A&M, only to be told their head to head win over OU didnt mean anything because Tech beat them..at least occording to Robert Stoops...

Never hope your opponent beats you or wins their bowl game and certainly not the MNC game.. We are not only trying to beat them in the games each season and better bowl games, and of course win the MNC.. We are also trying to beat them in the recruitment game... and that is helped greatly if they lose another BCS MNC game.
