I THINK He played on the 1995 Lake View team. He Might have played for the Sooners......and he's played in the NFL....Let's put all of our clues together and bring him to light.

Anybody know someone that worked for FedEx during that time frame?

the 1995 Lakeview team tied Lake Highlands in the playoffs 34-34. Lake Highlands advanced.

I think they tied Lake Highlands 34-34 that year. Samir Al-Amin was on that team also.

He could be Marcus Stiggers.

He's mentioned several times in the "Greatest..." thread. He played receiver for Colorado and he played in the League. And he came out during the right time frame.

Butch Fifield
12-01-2005, 02:15 PM
and Marcus Stiggers does live in Houston now...as does the Great One. his location says "with the Stars, baby". Marcus did play with the Cowboys (helmet=the Stars).

if anyone deserves the handle "The Great One" it is Marcus Stiggers.

but I think this guy went to one of the Garland schools.

He is a Sooner 'yall. Trust me on this one....nobody defends okies unless they are one...or they played for OU. And he always defends OU....

Didn't he mention playing with Rocky Calmus and Teddy Lehman once?

Well, I tried looking up old rosters on the Lakeview Centennial High School Athletics page, but there weren't any. Here (http://www.patriotpride.org/coaches.htm) is the email page for the coaches...being a student I doubt they would take me seriously.

Once we come up with a name, we can search for him in the Alumni Database.

If he truly was great, he probably won one of these (http://www.vzinet.com/gshf/highschool.html) awards...

Notable from Garland (http://www.byucougars.com/football/grimes_j.html)

That is what I was thinking too. I doubt there are that many sooners in that thread and if we can just eliminate the ones who didn't go pro or are too old or too young... boom we have are man.

1995 5A Divsion II Bi-District Playoffs: Garland Lakeview Centennial 34, Richardson Lake Highlands 34
(Richardson Lake Highlands advanced on penetrations)
Lakeview had what was highly touted as "The Dream Team" entrenched with 14 future Div-1 Collegiate players and 4 future NFL Draftees, including current Washington Redskin Derrick Dockery. Lake Highlands was led by their future NFL draftee/super-athlete, and perhaps one of the greatest Texas High School quarterbacks of all time, Marcus Stiggers.
It was a brutal "Blood-n-Tears" game that left no stone un-turned. Lakeview battled back from a 14 point half-time deficit and tied the game in the fourth quarter, with just seconds left. Lakeview's kicker then missed an extra point that would have sealed the victory and upset the favored Wildcats. This was a game of crushing hard hits and big plays, such as the 45 yard dramatic endzone reception from Lakeview's Kareem High with just seconds remaining at the end of the first half. This game is truly one for the ages.

From the gratest games page.

I found an old boxscore showing that Marcus Stiggers played for the Redskins, so unless he's really pulling one over on us, he ain't Marcus.

From what I can gather, he's a former Garland Owl, a former Sooner, and possibly played for the Cowboys.

Maybe, but he hasn't mentioned winning a superbowl and if he had won a superbowl he would have mentioned it.Meaning he must have been with them in 94 96 or 97.

I played HS football between 1985 and 1995.

I played at a Garland school.

I did not play football at OU, though I was heavenly recruited by them. I met Barry Switzer, but never played for him.

I was 1st Team All-District, Area, State, Texas Top 100, Southwest Top 50, Blue Chip and Super-Prep All-American.

I was All-Conference (twice), All-American (2nd Team).

I didn't play for the Redskins, Giants, Packers or Bears.....but I played against all them!

I played for more than 1 NFL team.

Aaron Wallace was who I idolized. (I made that comment, publicy! Maybe some of you guys remember where?!)

I benched over 450 lbs, ran between a 4.5 and 4.6 40, cleaned 385 lbs and squated 700 lbs.

I wore an unusual, yet traditional, jersey number in college!;)

I hit Emmitt Smith, one time, and he screamed out, "Hold on dawg, damn!"

That's all I have to say, except.....

Goodluck!;) :D

He's helping us so I dare say he doesn't care...

That helps a little bit, now I gotta take OU out of the search.

Let's see...

Between 1985 and 1995, the only schools in garland were Garland, South, North, Lakeview, and Naaman Forest.

I still think he played for the Bengals and had nothing to do with Texas. I think he was shamed into moving to Texas because he played for the Bengals.
Or the Aints maybe.

I hit my brother once and he said: nevermind what he said...

One thing we do know. He ain't michael irvin and he aint deon sanders. Those 2 love for everyone to know who they are.

Now that I think about it.. I know who he is.

To answer an earlier asked question....YES....I'm retired!

Also let me say....
Something else for you guys to realise is that I have to be verbally responsible for anything and everything I say or it can be taken out of context. A simple comment can be used against me, via media or public.

I have only used the fact that I played hs, college and pro ball to help communicate my opinions - through experience - on this forum.

I probably shouldn't have enticed the discovery of my identity by passing out info about myself, or repeating my accomplishments...but what's done is done.

So....
If some of you guys truly believe you know who I am (which some of you do)....please keep it to yourself. I just don't wish to make public my identity.
