What i'm hearing is that the Leander Lions are trying to go big next year and play with the big boys (you can't be the best unless you beat the best). This is just what i'm hearing from numerous players. Yall may laugh in my face, but don't hurt the messenger, its just what im hearing.

zero week
Leander vs Southlake Carroll (i'm not joking, maybe a SLC fan that has heard about their predistrict games can confirm)

week one
Leander vs Abilene

week two
Bye

Week three
Leander vs Bryan

If this is the real schedule, and they are home and home games, that is heck of a road trip.

I'd really be worried about that Bryan game. That's the one that stands out.

I hear Seguin and Madison are set to kick off the season at the Dome for the SA area next year... unless they are put in the same district.

Any body know about any games in week zero at Reliant? In '04 it was A&M Consol -vs- Katy and Eisenhower -vs- Woodlands. This year it was A&M Consol -vs- Eisenhower and Katy -vs- Woodlands. Hopefully they will finish this thing off with a true round robin that would set up A&M Consol -vs- Woodlands and Katy -vs- Eisenhower.

I don't know why they'd want to do that. The competition would be tougher than it is now!:p

Starting the season at 0-2 could be a confidence destroyer, especially considering the margin of defeat. They could possibly give up 100 points in the first two games alone.

I'm not quite sure who your talking about, but if your talking about Leander's predistrict schedule, i think we will split. Lose to SLC (obviously) and beat Abilene. Alot of talnet coming back next year, and more importantly only one starting lineman will be missing on next years team.

I would love to see a Plano --SLC matchup on ESPN next year.

Of course that is if this game is a close one this week.

Can anybody confirm if they have made a schedule for the Texans to play a high school team to try to get their confidence up? Personally, I think they need a nice little schedule too. It's too bad, I thought this year could have been a record setting year but they had to go off and win 1 game... I think the Texans could hold it to a close scoring game;)

I'd like to see ECA come down here to CenTex and play a game or 2. I'll have to suggest that to them and see what they say. I have a feeling that they will need 2 games next year anyway.

I can see most of SLC get reloaded, but the new WRs have some mighty big shoes to fill. only returner is anthony ford if he goes back to WR. Next year could be a challenge.

I am not sure where you are getting your info from but the o-line lost 2 starters(Kincaid,Blasik) and the d-line lost 2 starters(Weaver,Darnell) to graduation.

Question, Won't the pre-district game scheduling have to wait on realignment if they are making larger distrcts next year???

You are probably correct, but pretty reliable rumors are flying. For District 15 -5a they are saying Pflugerville is dropping to 4A and will be in the district with Connally . Vista Ridge will be the new HS in 15-5A(new Leander ISD school, first year).

Ok, Cove's JV and Freshman played Vista Ridge this past season so Im familiar with them. Will be interesting to see how the realignment will work out for the rest of us in the area.

This is not very reliable, but have heard talk of Georgetown moving to another cen-tex district.

I have heard from a very reliable source that Clemens is playing Wagner next year to open the season. Steele does not want any part of the two Judson schools. I also hear that the head coach at Clemens as applied for the East Central Job.

I heard O'Connor was going back to an all 26-5 Pre-District schedule like they used to. I sure would like to See them do the First 3 games Madison, Smithson Valley, and Judson! That would be a tough pre district, but a good work out! But most likely Madison, SV and Churchill.
