I don't know, if LP brings over 8 or 9 thousand it very well could be. I believe the visitor side of WacoISD sits 4,500 and the home side seats 5,500. I'm not positive about those numbers but LP will definetly come close to selling it out. At least some people will be sitting on the grass in the endzones.

The game is at Floyd Casey, there are 50,000 seats there. a seat won't be a problem. Lufkin ticket sales are a little slow, that Friday night start may present some with a last minute decision making. I expect about 5 thousand or so from Lufkin, maybe a little more. This will be the first time in years the Panther fans could be out numbered.

Cove pretty much sold out the homeside of Waco ISD last week against Garland.......
This is a much bigger game........and they are hyping it up.......and with only 5 teams in the super cen-tex left playing......alot of other fans will show.
Against Midland Lee in 1998......they out-numbered the Lee fans......it was their first time ever making the playoffs in 5-A.......so the town went nuts...and they will this week also.

Only posted the question because my family has been under the impression that the tickets DO restrict you to a particular side of the stadium. I know that they try their best to keep the fans separated at the games. Perhaps it is not important when it comes to the actual entry into the stadium. Wasn't trying to start anything or be rude thus the  face, not the  one.
I grew up in Tyler during the old rivalries and remember the drive to Lufkin for football. Back in the day. (the Earl Campbell/TJT is everything) day. Graduated from Lee and know what being in one town supporting another is all about. Think last year...
And I definitely wouldn't have wanted to be sitting in the stands rooting for the team on the other side!
Hope this doesn't make me the newest member of the T82 club.
Go Dawgs!

Primetime536,
You gotta be kiddin' me!! Cove holds 4,500 per side. We were full and had our band and drill on your side. You guys were lucky to have 600-700 tops.
In the last three years of attending every Cove game - home or away - we have been outnumbered only once at the Converse Judson game in their stadium.
We WILL have more fans the Lufkin, you can be assured of that.

I just know there were more than a few open seats up where I was sitting, but I was near the top row on the fieldhouse side about the 40 yard line. We had a really good crowd no doubt, but unless I'm mistaken there was plenty of room for more, so it was not full. Almost full - yes, but not full.

OK, I'm ending this argument right now. Look where Lufkin plays their playoff games. Look at SLC, too. There's a reason Judson always played games at the Alamodome. It's because they needed a stadium that was bigger than the 10K of Waco ISD and bigger than standard high school stadiums.

If you had a picture from the opposite side, or straight on you would see that the section on the far end was basically empty, unless Cove fans were disguised as empty seats. it was still a pretty good crowd though. Probably wouldn't of quite filled the vistors side up as LP did in two earlier round games.

The Lufkin game against Harker Heights it was not sold out on the visitor side.......and the Cove crowd from last week would have filled up the visitor side for sure. It's a 1,000 seats less.

The old Victory Bell has been refurbished and is being brought to the game.

It amazes me that two pretty good football teams are getting ready to play this Friday and there are people arguing about who will bring more people to the game, and whether the stadium was full the other night. Give me a break! This whole thing (the game) is about the kids who have sacrificed, committed, and worked to get to this point. It is NOT about how many people will be there, or who's side is more full, or any of that garbage. Be positive, support the kids, and enjoy a great game. :)
