Truly appalling.

On the other hand, I'm surprised it's taken this long for some coach to realize how to game the HS PO system like this. Yup, it was much worse for Texas football when we just let district champions in.

Coulda been nothing to it other then resting his starters. I mean the other team didnt win by much... So his backups came close to winning the game. A blowout and I might of thought differently, but that score reflects(to me anyway) that it was 2 teams trying to win.

Garbage. In the Texas I played football in, you did not rest your best players when an outright district championship is on the line. If I were a back up on that team I would have been so offended that I would have walked off of the team or refused to play. The backups tried to win it for him anyway, which is what's so sad.

Oh I'm not saying there wasnt something else to it.. I'm just speculating with the rest of yall.. Seems to me that if you want to lose it, as a coach there are many things you could do to accomplish that goal.

Nope. Coach Williams took out his starters and even most of his 2nd string BEFORE half. If you know anything about these Central Texas teams it's that if Lorena beats La Vega...something is up.

I already dislike La Vega due to the Parr issue and this has made it a lot worse.

Really unbelievable. I can't imagine being one of the kids that played.

"We don't really want to win so we are going to put you in."

Even if I am a scrub, I only want to do what I can to help my team win. Not game the system.

Of course, if we had a college playoff stuff like this would never happen. We'd always see teams giving 100% in every game.
