He showed me a lot more than I thought he would. Kudos to Greg, he's the real deal. Poor Riley's gonna have ridiculous pressure to live up to following Chase, Chase and now Greg! One of these days some SLC QB isn't going to throw for a zilliion yards and might well be the scapegoat.

Wow what a great video hes got... He just have alot of good wide recievers what makes him real good also. I still think Chase Daniel is better though.

My top 3 Qb's...
1) Stafford
2) McElroy
3) Harrell
4) Nick Stephens Flower Mound
5) Christian Ponder
I've only seen metroplex teams but I look forward to seeing the QB at Katy and the winner of the Lufkin/Cove game.

what about Sharrod Harris of Arlington Bowie. He is really good, but does not have any help on his team.

Sherrod is a great kid and has all the intangibles but the fact that he's had poor coaching and not much talent around him makes him harder to judge. I like him personally but i think he's going to be a project. McElroy on the other hand is extremly polished for obvious reasons and has the size, strength and accuarcy to succeed at the next level. The only question left with him is how he reacts to adversity and a good pass rush. Outside of the Grapevine game, he hasn't seen much of either but i suspect he will do well.

With the Carroll O line..a good pass rush is not a problem....

Heck I know, they can run if they want to but they rather pass which is fine with me because very few schools does passing until in college. Southlake Carroll seems like they play like college which I was amazed by that.

What about Taylor Potts (Abilene)?
I didn't see Potts in person so I left him out. What i've heard and seen on video looks good but i think McElroy is a little better.

Exactly, but at some point over the next 3 games one team will put some heat on him and then we'll find out how good he really is.

Damn, I wish we had some QB down in the RGV area to step it up so we can get a little deeper in the playoffs. G. McElroy makes SLC look like a college team.

That kid has some talent. Has he committed to a school yet? Next year keep your eye on Amarillo's Kyler Hill. He was really impressive this season.

Wow......
What a fantastic job Coach Dodge has done with this kid......from 3rd string jv qb as a sophmore (saw that in an earlier thread) to leading the state in passing......
Coach Leach is going to get a kid that is more prepared fundamentally then any high school qb he has ever had.....
Coach Dodge has to repeat as National Coach of the year!

You are correct. Dodge has done a great job with Mc. The only thing he does wrong is hold the ball too long. He is late with passes that should be thrown earlier. Let me also say that Mc is also the benefactor of the best set (8) of wide receivers that I have ever seen in high school.

Yeah I could have knitted a sweater in the time it took him to throw some of those.
That could be either A. a testement to your O-line and exceptional pass blocking or he is late.
I am afraid if its the latter he will be hurried by our D this weekend, how is he on the run.

Great talent, great team, great program. Those highlights are very similar to the performance of Katy's Andy Dalton this season. Wouldn't it be something if these two gifted players (and their teams) get to square off against each other. . .
