I saw today that Taurean Henderson was named to the first team all Big 12 team, along with Adrian Peterson-- an honor well deserved. I just want to give him some props here.

It was easy to overlook him, as he played his entire career in a conference featuring the likes of Adrian Peterson, Cedric Benson, and Jamaal Charles. Heck, even Courtney Lewis often got more media attention that Henderson. It was easy to forget what a special player Tech had up in Lubbock-- one of the best RB's in the country. All he did was set an NCAA record for career receptions by an RB and score a Big 12 record 69 touchdowns. And, on occassion, stole the show from Tech's passing offense and took over a game in crucial situations. Not bad for a kid from 3a Gatesville, who hardly made a splash on the recruiting scene out of high school. Pro scouts have love his shiftiness, speed, and great hands. I look forward to watching him on Sundays. Thanks, Taurean-- it has been a long time coming.
