Though no timetable is set, Bellotti is Oregon's next AD and his OC Chip Kelly is the next head coach.

The University of Oregon has a plan for its next athletic director and football coach, even though it's uncertain just when the plan will be executed.

UO president Dave Frohnmayer announced this afternoon that football coach Mike Bellotti will succeed current athletic director Pat Kilkenny, and current offensive coordinator Chip Kelly will in turn succeed Bellotti.

The timeline for the shift apparently will be up to Bellotti.

"I feel like I've been put in a great situation. Basically, a lot of this was at my suggestion because of Chip's popularity and the great job he's done for us. ... He was going to be in line for some head jobs, and ... I wanted to keep him here. I also felt no pressure from anybody. The timeline is mine. It's probably something that, year to year, we'll evaluate."

All of that sound eerily familiar.
