45-35
As a Texas fan we will always remember these numbers.
As a Sooners fan you will always try to remember these numbers.
Even if OU does come out with a win next Saturday and ends up winning it all you shall always remember that Texas did beat OU on a neutral field.
Texas lost on the road in a very close match up in a hostile environment.
Texas lost though and the Bull Crap Series voted and said OU this week.
Baylor could have made this easy and beat Tech.
Well Fiesta Bowl or the BCS NC Game we will always remember
45-35
Texas > OU
and they always will
no mames, buey....there's no need for this thread. all this has been said for the past week or longer. just stfu, and enjoy the end of the season.

Congrats OU beat Texas in the BCS Standings but still
45-35
Remember Texas beat OU and if Ou wins it all
Texas beat the National Champions (and Texas would have the same record as OU)
Just a reminder.

OU CAN go 13-1.
UT can do no better than 12-1 and all that might get you is a tiebreaker loss in the flexing game with Tech!:D
UT better watch out for a potential letdown in a bowl, just like Tech needs to watch out.

Well you ARE right I didn't think about the 13 and 14 games deal
But ya good point
I will (again) congratulate OU on a deserved win in the Big 12 South
There were 3 teams that deserved it and the polls showed OU to go so they control their own destiny.
Good luck Sooners and Go Tigers!

And UT lost by 6 on the road... And only gave up 24 to them team that just railed 41 on OU
SO... We settle with a 10 point win vs OU right?
Of course not... Thats just to practical

The numbers game puts OU ahead of UT. UT wants to claim head to head to cover up the numbers game. When it's convenient for them though, they go back to the numbers game to claim superiority over Tech. It's one way or the other. You can't play it one way on one side and a different way on the other side.

Call it whatever you want... The bottom line is this was between 2 teams UT and OU.. not 3.. These 2 teams played a game... UT won that game.. In fact UT beat by double digits both teams playing in the Big 12 CG. UT has the best win of the year and the best loss of the year.

Texas controlled that game for a full 3 quarters and than Okie Light started making a big comeback.

It is what it is... and over and done with. Time to move on. Everyone agrees the BCS structure is flawed, but it remains the mechanism in place to determine representation. Everyone knew the ground rules at the outset. Complaints at this point are a waste of time. Four very talented teams in the Big XII South hammered on each other, resulting in a three way tie. All are to be congratulated for being among the best in the country, and supported while representing us outside of the Big XII. It apears to me what we have here is an embarrassment of riches, not the source for a perpetual food fight.

Ok, and if OU wins the Big 12 title game, the At Large bid will be between 2 teams Tech and UT... not 3... These 2 teams played a game... Tech won that game..
Are you saying that a win over OU is better than a win over UT? It's not like UT played a good game in Lubbock or anything. Take away a 90 yard pass, a BS punt return where a guy gets plowed over from behind and a 40+ yard pass before halftime, and Tech wins by 3 touchdowns and holds UT to about 200 yards of offense. How is that a good loss?
I'm not even a Tech fan, but I am sick of the UT whining and discrediting the same exact claim coming from the other side.

Excellent point. UT probably had their worst game of the year in Lubbock and Tech still couldnt manage to squeak more than a 6 point win. Go figure, a team that believes they deserve a BCS bowl over a team they barely beat.. And it took a hellova lot of circumstances for them to even get that... I have and will congratulate Tech for beating UT.. But seriously.. Tech over the last 2 weeks has proved what alot of people have said for a while now.. That they look pretty in makeup, but when they wash it all off, they were still the ugly girl nobody likes.
And as far as the 2nd BCS bowl for the Big 12.. It is between 2 teams... UT and Mizzou.. They are the only teams with a chance at it.. If Ou wins, UT gets it... If Mizzou wins UT goes to the Title game and Mizzou gets it. Thats it.

Holy crap! Texas had their worst game..blah, blah, blah. I guess you can use that excuse if it makes you feel better. Tech actually did play their worst game of the year in Norman and that is part of the game. Tech outplayed Texas for the majority of the game and did it on national tv. You guys need to get a grip about the Baylor game. What I saw was a team that was flat but came back from a 14 point deficit in the second half to win the game. That is what good teams do.

And as for your earlier point, if Missouri wins the Big 12 Championship, isn't it actually possible for the Big 12 to get three BCS bids? I was under the impression that each conference is only allowed one at large bid, but UT in the title game and Mizzou in the champions' seat wouldn't occupy that spot. Seems like I heard Dan Patrick talking about that last week or something.

I would buy into that if the Horns hadn't squeaked out a win over Okie State the week before at home. Two weeks later, that Okie State team got beat by 30 something against Tech. Could it be that the UT/OU game was simply a case of UT playing their best game of the year and OU playing their worst?!?!?! Looks more and more like it.

Said on ESPN that if Mizzou wins, they and UT would go to the BCS with UT in the national title game and OU wouldn't make the BCS at all. They did say though that USC would have an argument because they did win their own conference and UT did not. USC would have a chance to win a share of the national title if UT were to win the BCS title.
Thats what they were saying.

The only way the Big 12 could have 3 teams in BCS games, is if 2 were playing each other in the BCSNC game.

Oklahoma may be fortunate to reside in the Big 12. It is one of five leagues that is broken up into divisions – and it's the only league whose tiebreaker system would've ended up with the Sooners as the division champs. Here's a look:
ACC: Texas (fifth tiebreaker)
Once a three-team tie has been reduced to two, a two-team tiebreaker is used.
Combined head-to-head (all are 1-1)
Records vs. division (all are 4-1)
Head-to-head competition vs. team within the division with best overall (divisional or conference) proceeding through division (all beat Oklahoma State, Baylor, Texas A&M)
Overall record for non-division teams (Texas wins; Longhorns opponents are 21-15, OU's and Tech's are 20-16)
Big 12: Oklahoma (fifth tiebreaker)
The records of three teams will be compared against each other (all are 1-1)
The records of three teams will be compared within their division (all are 4-1)
The records of three teams will be compared to next highest placed teams in their division (all beat Oklahoma State, Baylor, Texas A&M)
The records of three teams against common opponents (all beat Kansas, only common North opponent)
Team with top BCS ranking (No. 2 Oklahoma, No. 3 Texas, No. 7 Texas Tech)
Conference USA: Texas (sixth tiebreaker)
Highest regular-season win percentage based on conference play (all tied at .875)
Head to head between tied teams (all are 1-1)
Highest win percentage in division (all .800)
Records against divisional opponents in descending order of finish (all beat Oklahoma State, Baylor, Texas A&M)
Records against common cross-division opponents (all beat Kansas)
Records against cross-division opponents in descending order of finish (Texas wins; Longhorns defeated North champ Missouri)
Mid-American: Texas (fourth tiebreaker)
Head to head
Record vs. division
Win percentage of cross-over opponents (all 4-0 vs. common opponents, North opponents were a combined 11-13 for all teams)
Cross-division opponents in rank order (Texas wins; beat North champ Missouri)
SEC: Texas (sixth tiebreaker)
Head to head
Record vs. division
Head to head vs. team within division with best overall record and proceeding through division (all beat Oklahoma State, Baylor and Texas A&M)
Record vs. non-division teams (all 3-0)
Record vs. common non-divisional teams with best conference record (all beat Kansas)
Team with highest BCS, unless second tied team is ranked within five or fewer places of highest ranked team. In this case, head to head of winner of top two is the representative. (Oklahoma is No. 2, Texas is No. 3, Texas Tech is No. 7; Texas beat Oklahoma)

It was discussed on several espn rants today. But, I do agree USC got a hint of a shaft - ridiculous to call Florida's early loss at home superior to USC's loss on the road to Oreg. St.
