Two more players gone because of their behavior. Just another day for aggy.

Aggies dismiss 2 from football team

04:59 PM CDT on Monday, June 6, 2005

From Staff Reports

Texas A&M dismissed Jorrie Adams and Erik Mayes from the football team Monday for violating team rules, the school announced.

"It is unfortunate, and I am disappointed that it has to reach this point," A&M coach Dennis Franchione said.

Adams, a 6-7, 282-pound defensive lineman from Jasper, Texas, earned a letter last season as a redshirt freshman. He had 22 tackles.

Mayes, a 5-9, 177-pound defensive back from Humble, Texas, played in all 12 games, starting one. He had 69 tackles and one interception.

Wow, that's crazy. Both of those kids were expected to be major contributers this coming season. Also, the Adams kid is a beast.

Well, one thing is for sure. Fran doenst put up with anything on his team. You have to respect that.

Specified team rules could mean a lot of things...to call these kids thugs is a little over the top don't you think?

It's a generalized characterization of a program that has received more pub because of their legal troubles than they have their football team. So is the current state of affairs at aggy.

BTW, everybody knows the true Thug U. is the University of Miami. Even with all their problems over the last couple of years, aggy is still only junior college compared to Miami.
