It is kinda sad

in D-2 ,REGION 1 AND 2. Four teams at 13 AND 0 and it all ends for two of them this week-end. What a tribute to the kids and the programs,especially the seniors.There really will be no losers this week-end , only kids who lost their first game of the year. These are four GREAT teams and let's not lose sight of that.

Losing the regional is tough. Katy lost in regional last year to Clear Lake by one point in double overtime. It was particularly hard on our boys as they had very little expectation of losing.

Losing at the semifinal or state game is even worse when your that young and have invested so much of yourself in the effort. They lose sight of the fact that they out-achieved so many others. My oldest son played for Katy in 2002 and thought he was a total failure because Katy lost the semifinal against SV. It took a while for him to realize otherwise.

Man that is so true. I hated it when Judson lost in the semis last year, but I was still proud they made the final 12 in 5A.
