Personally, I think rims are an absurd way of spicing up a car. Especially sedans. It's your car, do as you please, but my opinion has been voiced.

i have already decided not to do anything with the wheels until I need to buy new tires, but my car has the 16s and hub caps and the hub caps are all torn up

I don't really want flash, just something easier to keep clean

By all means get something easy to clean to replace worn caps. The practical side of it is fine and dandy as long as its independent from the flashy side.
