You are priviliged. You have earned your stripes in society.....you get bonus points if you had 2 televisions in your house. A little one sitting on top of the Curtis Mathis floor model.....both on at the same time....one for the picture...the other for the sound......and you changed the channel on the 13 in Black and white with grip pliers....you could never sneek and watch Televison. It made a loud noise when it turned on...and the god-awful clacking sound it made when you changed the channel.

I have to get in on this because I'm the guy who loves all the 80's music and the bands that everybody rags on. I'm proud that I graduated from high school in 1989 and not 1990. The 80's was my decade. Without further adieu:

You know you grew up or were born in the 80's if......

2. You watched the Pound Puppies. Negatory.

3. You can sing the rap to the "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" ..and can do the "Carlton". Didn't do the dance, but watched the show sometimes. I like Will Smith.

4. Girls wore biker shorts under their skirts and felt stylishly sexy. Hey, I liked that, but I was OK with them losing the skirt!

Try taking a journey by covered wagon across 2000 miles of plains, rivers, and mountains. Try! On the plains, will you slosh your oxen through mud and water-filled ruts or will you plod through dust six inches deep?

How will you cross the rivers? If you have money, you might take a ferry (if there is a ferry). Or, you can ford the river and hope you and your wagon aren't swallowed alive!

What about supplies? Well, if you're low on food you can hunt. You might get a buffalo... you might. And there are bear in the mountains.

At the Dalles, you can try navigating the Columbia River, but if running the rapids with a makeshift raft makes you queasy, better take the Barlow Road.

If for some reason you don't survive -- your wagon burns, or thieves steal your oxen, or you run out of provisions, or you die of cholera -- don't give up! Try again... and again... until your name is up with the others on The Oregon Trail Top Ten.

for starters, I HAVE a DOS version of Oregon Trail on my computer, if you want it, I think I could email the files to you.

16. You played the game "MASH " (Mansion, Apartment,< /div>

Shelter, House)

True story, I played that game not that long ago, when I was driving my girlfriend from Sugarland to Los Angeles. Somewhere between Kerville and Junction she busts out the notepad and wants to play MASH. Unbelievable.

She's a keeper...just using my 1983 logic... back then if a girl wanted to play MASH with you...it was usually a precursor to wonderful things.
